I love the idea of using season 3 to connect Louis to future season storylines in a meaningful role by having him meet important characters like Marius directly !!
Talamasca would be fun too !

I feel like it would make a lot of sense! Of course, our writers are so smart and creative so who knows what they'll come up with, but to give Louis more of a leading part moving forward, the idea of him running the mission to get Lestat back from Akasha, well....I just think it would work!! and I'm keeping an eye on the new Talamasca show (especially since we know Eric Bogosian was filming for it, however briefly).
thank you so much for your lovely answers!! ❤️

13:19 my favourite line is "if I'm a dammed thing then let the son of a bitch come get me". Which is also some sorta foreshadowing for memnoch the devil.

That’s very Lestat. I’m currently rereading iwtv (and reading memnoch for the first time AND tvl for the Reid along. No idea how I ended up reading three of the books at the same time) and there is a line where Lestat says he would like to meet the devil some night. I might be mixing things up but I think there’s a line in body thief probably where Louis says something about Lestat trying to tempt the devil

@@elsagillsten yeah I think it was in the body theif coz he was trying to khs after the akasha thing.

the way Lestat really does live by this idea that if God had power he'd already have done something about Lestat......inspiring. Need to be that confident in ourselves. Also. Memnoch the Devil felt like an acid trip the first time I read it. I've never done acid, but if I did I think that's what it would be like. 😭

Loved this, and looking forward even more to forthcoming discussions! The only thing I fear is that we might all have Too Many Thoughts!!

I fear the same !! Everyone is so smart and has so many amazing things to say that it feels criminal cutting stuff out. I've got some ideas that I might send a little survey out for soon that could help with that a little bit but 😭 thank you so much for being part of it all though! ❤️

Aaaaaaah! I’m so glad you seemed to like my answers! If I’m honest, I was really self conscious about them, so when I heard that you specifically highlighted one of my responses I was so excited!! Thank you for what you’re doing with this book club!! It’s been SO much fun so far, and I can’t wait to really get into the meat of the book and continue to dissect and discuss it all! 😁💜

@ You genuinely have no idea how happy it makes me to hear that! I just love reading and analyzing and just completely engrossing myself in literature, and being that Interview With the Vampire is a story that already means so much to me, this whole thing has just been wonderful for me! The fact that you liked one of my answers enough to make a point to mention it just means the world to me! I’m so grateful that you decided to organize this whole thing, and I’ll be sure to keep doing my best as we continue on! I’m already deeply invested into my reading for this next section, I’m just so completely enthralled! I’m with you in feeling so completely amped for the next section!! 💜

40:13 Okay that felt directed at me because I do have blue eyes and it followed my answer. When I was little I always said I had blue eyes with green lines because I didn’t want to admit to myself that my eyes are blue😆

      @JamReiderson  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

listen........I may or may not have cut out the part immediately after where I was like "I say that too, I say that my eyes change color...but in my defense !!" and argued with everyone who says my eyes don't 😭 it's the fate of all blue-eyed people to argue that our eyes take on the objects around them. Lestat is NOT special.

Sixteen year old you drawing hearts around Lestat is so funny and tbh true

    • @JamReiderson

I can't tell if 16yo me would be proud that she's still like that 15 years later, or if she'd be like. Oh. So we never grew out of that? That's....questionable, but okay 😭😂

  • @MélissaBouchard-b1s

If i still feel the urge to draw a heart around Lestat’s name every time I see it on the page, does that make me a dumb 16-year-old? 😂
I loved the video, this book club is so much fun! Thank you for leading it so perfectly!

I may or may not have made some of the more faded hearts a little more bold again so......................no 🥹😭
