This video is misleading on several points: - Bambu Studio is also open source. Orca, in fact, is based on Bambu Studio, which is based on Super Slicer, which is based on Prusa Slicer, which originally used the Slic3r code base. - Bambu Studio also has tree support - Slow down on overhangs is also a part of Bambu Studio - Bambu Studio actually also support other Klipper based printers, but Orca comes with far more printer profiles for other brands and filaments And nowadays, Bambu Studio also supports scarf joint. So there's not much difference between the two.
I'm definitely in the "intermediate" category of users. My partner and I cut our chops on an anycubic kobra go, and just upgraded a month ago to a bambu P1S. I've been trying out orca for a couple weeks. Mostly I find it works well, but we are definitely finding some odd dicrepancies between it and bambu studio. We will likely continue to use both for the P1S, on a case by case basis.
