    came here 2 years ago! took a while to find the right place to turn off the main trail. I took a different path tho from a guide online. it was so cool!!!

    If you found yourself walking on the wash after leaving main trail on your way to the cave you missed the social trail that takes you there: you exit the main trail and cross the creek, there is a trail that runs parallel to the creek on the other side, after a little you’ll see a “broken tree”, that’s where you turn right (away from the creek) and start climbing up. The easy way down from there are the “steps” few feet before you reach the first alcove with the stack up rocks, kinda difficult to spot at first.
    Sedona is super magical. I’d recommend going all the way to the end of the main trail next time you visit 👍😎
    Love your Sedona videos ! 🤟😎🤩

      Its pretty funny, we were back out at Sedona about a month ago and we went back with some friends. It sounds like you're describing the trail we did this time. SO MUCH EASIER!! It seemed way faster too, we were shocked when we got there so quickly. How much farther does the canyon go in? So glad that you are enjoying the videos. On the last trip, we climbed to the top of bell rock! That was wild. Hopefully we will have that one up soon :)

      From the trailhead to the end of the trail is about 3 miles. I do not think there is a way to go any further as the huge canyon walls close in on you. You can do a little off trail exploring but won’t be able to go too far. Still, the views from the back of the canyon are spectacular 😍🤟😎

      I got home last night from Sedona. Climbed up to the cave two days ago. I don't do any outdoor activity, not even jogging, so this hike was considered as a challenge for me. I am so glad that I decided to do this hike and I made it. Breathtaking views and awesome caves. You will love it.

    I definitely had to backtrack when I missed the main trail on all trails, it’s a toughy, but worth every bit of finding it.

      We lucked out! We heard voices coming from what ended up being the base of the subway. If it wasn't for that it would have been way harder to find. Glad you found it! 😁👍

    I've hiked every trail in Sedona, and there are many that are more scenic than this with a lot less people. If you want the peak experience try Warrior's Pass, Sunrise Ledge, the Kachina Tree, the Lost Canyon Loops, Women's Village, the Council of Elders, and the Wall of the Ancients, just to name a few.

    • @LiveThatAdventure
      @LiveThatAdventure  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We both have Merrell. They are quite decent. Recently, we discovered the approach shoes from La Sportiva tx3 and are completely in love with them. They are meant for canyonering but they are wonderful for regular hikes with water crossing and slippery area! If you're not a strong hikers, start with easier hike to build up your strength and slowly move to harder hikes. You can also take your time on longer hikes, takes ton of breaks. There are so shame on that. Believe it or not, we take tons of break. 😊. More enjoyable that way. If you have more questions about hiking gear, feel free to ask. 😊

    3:31 - That corner does look super sketchy, I wonder how many people have slipped and fallen and possibly died? I bet they cover up the truth about how many people have fallen off cliffs or completely vanished Missing411 style
