I dont think Ubisoft spent too much time or money implementing PSSR on those games, and it shows. Most likely a single engeneer patched in func_fsr3 --> func_pssr, and called it a day.
Yah it seems like they did some additional background work as even PSSR looks better here. They def rushed out the initial patches and it’s amazing what some effort and QA can do. Lol. Hoping they add the legacy mode options back in for AC Mirage as well. This stuff is important because everyone gets these versions when they move to PS6. Def looks a lot cleaner though for sure and glad they did fix these. Also, not sure if you have it for PS5, but Black Myth Wukong got a pretty solid Pro patch today as well. I thought it would have the same issues as Survivor but they’re using PSSR and it looks good. Image is cleaned up in all modes (most noticable in Balanced and Performance) and it runs smoother now as well. Leave it to the Chinese to take their time and do a good patch. I would have liked to see the ability to switch between FSR and PSSR but FSR had a lot of ghosting in that game and that’s pretty much been solved with PSSR now. No foliage flicker or anything. And they added a 40 fps mode.
There’s a lot of fan service, especially on Tattoine, and especially if you’re a fan of the original trilogy. Locations, characters like Lando, the Jawas, Rancor, and Jabba are in here, and it is a beautiful looking game. It’s not a goty, but if you’re just looking for an open world Star Wars game to scratch that itch, I actually liked this more than I expected to.
@mandrews6282 how did you play it? I know it's demanding and all I have rn is my Series X so I don't want a soft mess in performance mode as 30fps is usually unplayable to me
@@rasluffi initially played on base PS5 in Perf Mode, but I also have played it on my gf’s Series X and it looks even better there. I would recommend turning off Cinematic Lens (or whatever it’s called) as it turns off post processing effects like lens distortion and vignetting. And the image looks pretty clean on Series X even in Performance Mode. I also played at an FOV of 100 and that made it look even better (this may just be personal preference though). You will get a clean image though and they improved image quality in general since launch on all platforms.
I wasn't impressed with DLSS in 4K performance mode yet that Jacob Freeman Nvidia guy always recommends DLSS performance at 4K On Indiana it shimmers when looking at the map and same on Balanced DLSS but is bit better Still ain't for me in some games that mode, I prefer Balanced lowest still on DLSS I don't care how good the upscaler is , it's very hard to upscale from lower resolutions, PSSR looks ok and FSR 3 got better recently tbh in some games Black Myth had an update yesterday and FSR looks much better now btw in this game 👍 Like Cyberpunk FSR 3 looked horrible before that recent update, so seems to take some devs time to make it work
😂 I like performance dlss 😂😂. On cyberpunk it's good. I cross check with dlss quality at 1440p and it looks better still to me. So i kind of don't compare it to 4k to make my mind go its ok
@@c523jw7 It looks really good in Cyberpunk DLSS performance in 4K That's why I was taken aback how bad it looks in Indiana in parts with the shimmering Hopefully improves once Ray Reconstruction is on and then i'll try it again In Cyberpunk I don't mind using DLSS performance or Balanced at all with Path tracing In Veilguard it also looks great DLSS performance at 4K so could be a very poor implementation from ID That actually might be enough to cut down on the vram actually on Veilguard to get FG if use DLSS Performance But tbh you don't really need FG on that game at all because I was getting well over 60fps everything totally maxed at 4K on the 4080 Super I think I just really wound up about not being able to enable something I should be able too Tbh I thought even in DLSS quality and balanced had too many things off with artifacts so defo not working as it should be, DLSS is much much better than it's showing lol 😆
I never actually wanna use FSR lower than Quality but don't mind on DLSS going to balanced because in most games I can't tell a difference really It did take me a while to trust DLSS performance but I have been impressed usually at 4K but defo needs some work on Indy It looks great in Silent Hill 2 DLSS performance when I tested that against Quality at 4K The main reason i've got the AMD GPU back in again is because ID Tech pissed me off with the Nvidia tech not being ready Plus their drivers have been awful lately, i'll likely put the 4080 Super back in once i've seen Indiana has got Ray Reconstruction on and see how it plays
@RJTHEGAME interesting. Here's something I'm playing dying light 2 and it uses dls 2.5 I think and I updated the dlss file to 3.7.1 and it gave visuals I couldn't tell difference in..but the game ran so much more jittery. Like made me feel sick. So I dont know if us manually updating dlss files is always good cus I had to revert back in this instance. Dlss does look different to native like I genuinely think dlss quality is sharper so dlss balanced really does look more native like. I honestly don't see the visual impacts on dlss but I see it with fsr which is alot softer to my eyes. But fsr implemented well..I will say it's tough to tell lile tlou I was shocked it looked great lile dlss
@@c523jw7 Yeah my experience with FSR is a total mixed bag, sometimes bad but sometimes very good FSR 3.1 is a lot better than 3, In Warhammer Space Marine 2, FSR Looks like for like with Native in that game The issue it has is like Alex of DF said, handling stuff in motion it can break up usually but actually looks really nice on Space Marine 2, Also looks nice in Avatar, God of War Rag and in Outlaws it looks like it's been updated because weeks ago when I compared it to DLSS it looked so far behind it was a joke tbh
If your saying this then the first game is that your playing very overrated instead of saying that say overrated yes im talking outlaws and witcher 4 yet we dont know how witcher 4 will be witcher 3 is really good

Star Wars outlaws looks fucking beautiful playing it rn. I don’t like the look of FSR 3 . PSSR looks really good to me .
FSR 3 has defo improved also on Outlaws since their last update
I remember checking it before and it looked broken
🤣
Its just me but there are not big differences between all modes in Outlaws just different fps count😅 All the modes looks good now on Pro😅
Nice video man I have a ps5 is it worth it to get the pro for this game have an LG C2 OLED looks blurry on ps5
The Pro is definitely better for the C2 OLED but you could save money and get a 1440p monitor that will look incredible too on your base PS5

I bought it on PC
Hey Frog, do you feel RTXDI made a difference in the PC version?
not enough to justify the performance loss
Pssr still not perfect but looks much better than fsr 3.0
As much as I don't like the premise of this game I was thinking of getting it for Series X just for some Star Wars content but idk 😂
It is a pretty good star wars story honestly
@frogboyx1Gaming idk bro I saw the clip of Jabba coming to the rescue and that seems entirely out of character for him 😂

In Cyberpunk I don't mind using DLSS performance or Balanced at all with Path tracing
In Veilguard it also looks great DLSS performance at 4K so could be a very poor implementation from ID
That actually might be enough to cut down on the vram actually on Veilguard to get FG if use DLSS Performance
But tbh you don't really need FG on that game at all because I was getting well over 60fps everything totally maxed at 4K on the 4080 Super

Is this one single sentence?
fixed? you said they were fine
see how this works 😂
I said that they were playable before not that they were perfect
