I Tried Every Oreo Dupe (GLUTEN FREE VERSION) 👀

- A few years ago, Oreo released the Gluten Free Oreo and Celiacs and Gluten Allergic people rejoiced. It was a monumental time in Gluten Free lore. But before there was the Gluten Free Oreo, there were many copy-cats. And my taste buds have yet to try the majority of them. So I went to Wegman's, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Whole Foods and more in search of these gluten free "chocolate sandwich cookies." And I found them.
Today I'll be taste-testing Oreos from Glutino, Goodie Girl, Trader Joe's, Simple Mills, Walmart, and Kinnickinnick to see if they stack up to the Gluten Free Oreos.
We'll learn about the taste, texture, price, ingredients, and nutrition facts of these 7 gluten free Oreos dupes and I'll be letting you know which of the brands I like the best.
All opinions are my own on this day and I'm truly a fan of most of these brands. I really try to be fair and objective in this video.

My non-GF colleagues did a blind taste test at work with regular Oreos and my GF package and the results were that the majority couldn’t taste the difference, with only two people commenting on a slight difference in texture. And then I told them to stop eating my GF Oreos as they are much too $$ to waste on non-GF people!

GF oreos have a lot of junk that you don't want in your body, if you can handle gluten or not. Also the oat flour has gliaden and it is the oat version of gluten. Don't be surprised if it affects you.
I like the Great Value the best for regular Oreo-type cookies. But I like the gluten free mint Oreos best of all!

I really love Goodie Girl! (The S’mores flavor is money!) But I haven’t tried Oreo brand yet

The GF Oreos are the best. I like them better than the original. They have a little salt to them, which is awesome.
Love these videos! I have a ton of allergies so I can't usually taste even some of the dupes, so it's fun to watch you try them and comment haha! Helps with my research. Lol. And I love that you post the ingredients. Makes it actually a funny AND helpful video. 😂
Though I would say, stuff like the "Siete" and "Simple mills" brands are trying to make yummy snacks that are "natural, refined sugar free." So yeah, when trying to find JUST a gluten free version of something, I agree that it's maybe not fair to compare it to a brand that isn't using fillers, preservatives or even cane sugar haha. They are for a completely different palate/lifestyle. 😂 I've learned the hard way that coconut sugar does NOT give the texture, taste, and color that sugar gives to baked goods. Haha.
Simple mills has a TON of different flavors, so it might be fun to see you compare them all haha! I love the thin graham's the best 😍. All healthy though, so be warned 🤣. Nothing is the same has a classic oreo, sigh.
great video idea! i’ve wanted to do a Rhett and Link style video “I tried every product made by X brand” and that could be a good brand to do it with! i love a lot of healthy snacks don’t get me wrong haha so that would be fun
@PhilHatesGluten yes do it! Or compare those 2 high sensitivity brands. Bc they're expensive and we're all tired of wasting our $.
Yesterday I ate a york Peppermint patty with replacement sugar, and was in the restroom all day. That was a new one for me. We're out here struggling without our sweets 😢 Need your help Phil.
All the Oreo dupes I’ve found have oat flour which I’m allergic to, so this was cool to see that there oat free options that I just haven’t found yet!! Unfortunate to hear that they weren’t very good though.
Kinnikinnick Pizza Crust is the best GF Pizza Crust. Also they are having “supply chain issues & production has stopped”. I hope it’s not Corp Speak for we’re going belly up soon. 🙏
I actually really like the simple mills one, but I am a fan of super dark chocolate and like bitterness over sweetness. I would say it’s not a good comparison to Oreo’s though so I totally agree there! I haven’t tried goodie girl yet because I also can’t eat dairy and didn’t know they removed the dairy so will definitely have to try! 😊

Yea...simple mills doesn't taste like an Oreo at all, but it's probably my favorite of the bunch. Would never try it in milk though. Seems nasty lol
We also like the GF Oreos the best, especially since it comes in regular. Double stuff, and mint!

Goodie girl has dupes of some of the girl scout cookie flavors. My kid loves the thin mint ones and the caramel delight dupe
Goodie Girl is a good option if you miss flavored oreos. I would fight someone for the limited edition pumpkin spice sandwich cookies. The smores ones are also very very good. (Nabisco more flavored gluten free oreos pleaseeeeeeee. Specifically peanut butter please give me peanut butter).
I like the kinnickinnick brand but that’s cause I’m also allergic to corn and oats along with gluten so I’m very narrowed to my options 😅
I've tried most of these and I liked kinnickinick the most too, but I also can't have oats and I try to keep my corn intake low, the kroger/Fred Meyers/smith's brand is also pretty good.
Also the everyday value is agreed bad but the brand has a really good rice krispie dupe

The difference between Oreo dupes abd other cookies is the dryness actually plays roght into the wheelhouse of gluten. I love s chewy soft and moist cuocake or cookie and gouten free versiojs always sadden me... But with Oreo its supposed to be dry so I think it makes the replication easier
i actually like the glutinos ones, specifically the vanilla ones tho bc the actual oreo brand has yet to release a vanilla one 😡 so its between those and walmart great value ones for me
glutino are the originals and they’ve never been that good, but you take what you can get. at least they have vanilla sandwich cookies too

Sitting here in Canada crying over the $8.49 price tag on my GF Oreos 😂. Kinnickkinnick are the only ones that are under $6 here. A little grainy but my trusty Canadian brand. I could mail you some if you want!
The HighKey brand makes a gluten free Oreo and they're pretty good but also pretty pricey.

@@PhilHatesGluten we must be opposites, I don't like the golden as much. I agree though that the OG is the best for the actual Oreo brand flavor. Their mint ones are so addicting.
I'd be interested in knowing which ones are soy free as well. It's a common sensitivity for people with Hashimotos.
