So what does it mean when these sytmptoms are backwards, when the relay is in it has no lights and nothing happens and wipers come on, then when I pull the relay out the lights come on and the wipers stop

Hahaa! Man I love you guys' videos.. I didn't know about this relay until researching here. My problem ended up being the actual starter, which was easily swapped out (relatively).. But I now have an extra CAS relay in case the issue ever pops up

My 2009 328i has a different fuse box but the relay is still in the same spot. I just drove it 30 min ago now it won’t start. I checked this relay and it is burning hot and there’s some corrosion on the prongs. 91k miles

I have 2 problems 1 car sometimes doesn't crank after pushing button few times then it suddenly starts . Sometimes I have to leave the car lock it and come back and then it starts after few trials sometimes starts the first time.I almost got stranded the other day car started after many push button no cranks.Idrive display showed ignition malfunction as well..I have new battery installed by BMW 2 Start stop button works most times.But sometimes the car will not start after a stop on a light and gear goes from D to Park, transmission malfunction light comes After that I have to push the button to start the car. Car may start the first time or after couple push start no cranks then Everything gets back to normal. when I turn off the start stop technology, car drives great and no problem.I think these 2 problems may be related any suggestions to solve them what do you think?

Same problem no crank, no start! the only thing the dash lights are not coming on. just once in a while they come on, but same issue no start. i have some code like A0A9 Cas fault, plus A122 and A123 Cas Hall Sensor Fault. the battery was dead so we change it and it starts having this issue. i will give it a try to the CAS Relay and see what is going on. what i will do also is clear those codes and unplug the battery and make the full reset procedure shorting positive and negative for 15 min +, and start from there. i don't know how to contact you other than this means. thank you Nick
You have two different videos concerning the same relay, one video is for the wipers and then the other is for the cas... is this a shared relay? I have a 2007 328xi. I'm replacing the safety disconnect and the intelligent battery sensor at the battery. When I removed the relay that was supposed to be for the cas, the wipers started going crazy...
Does this relay have anything to do with the fuel pump? I have already checked fuses and replaced the fuel pump relay and it cranks but does not start.
I have replaced CAS module relay but still have exact problem. What else can it be? It behaves exactly the same way to the OP...have power in dash, lights, windows, door locks, fans, headlight...all works. I hear the fuel pump also kicks in for 1-2 seconds every time. Can it be stuck starter solenoid, starter relay or fuse? What else to check?

Hello! we have been watching alot of your videos and just want to say thank you! Our car wont start so we replaced the battery, i checked this relay and also the chassis cable. we ran a diagnostic with maxisys elite and it is showing issues with cas and jbe2. The dealer performed an airbag replacement and blower motor wiring harness replacement two weeks ago. I am curious what your opinion is and would appreciate any help we can get.
My dash would flicker and when I tried to start my car this relay would just go on and off non stop even without my key in it... Could that be a dead battery and relay?

You need to remove the "Fußraum modul" it is under the left cover from driver side, this Modul often creating this kind of Problems with " no Start stop Function, or light ignition issues and many other issues.

Hi, i need help with my car problem, the problem is my car crank but won't start, i checked injector signal, there's no signal, i checked ignition coil, there's also no signal, then i checked all fuse and relay, there's no fault. After that i checked all the wiring on engine, there's no problem with the wire harness, lastly i checked the ecm/ecu, i bring it to ecu repair shop they checked no faulty and i pay charge for checking usd60, after that, i try to start again, its still won't start, then i bring the ecm/ecu again to the bmw agent for checking with charge usd100, they also said there's no faulty with the ecu/ecm. I checked the fuel pump its working, i checked the pressure of fuelpump its working perfect. I checked the immobiliser, also no problem, Im still wondering with the problem and why my ignition coil and injector no power and no signal. Fault code on obd is P0341, P101b and P1061 , i tried clear, after a few minutes its appear again, anyone know what the problem? My car BMW 320i E90 2006, engine N46
The car does not start, the starter turns. After inserting the key, there is no clicking sound as usual, as if access to the car was limited, after pressing the ignition, the lifter appears in red, the wipers turn on and cannot be turned off, and I could not lower the windows. Central works. After connecting INPA and ISTA, there is no communication with the car, INPA does not even show that the ignition is on. Disconnecting the battery for a moment did not help. I had something similar happen for the 3rd time - the car turned over but did not start, and each time I closed the car and put the controllers to sleep, it returned to normal. After a few hours I get into the car, put the key in and hear the click and the car starts. Bmw e90 2007 any idea?

I have a E87 with a similar issue, BUT, none of the yeallow lights come on the dash. It only lights up the airbag light and the hand brake light. The car doesnt go into the second stage of ignition, only the radio one. Not cranking, not clicking... Any ideas out there?

@@gail6904Yes.. I had to drive from austin tx to san jose in 3days..and got a nice mechanic in kyle to fix my starter motor replacement and it runs good and was able to make it to join new job in Jan 2020.

Yes, it is the Fuße box battery cable.
You have to Remote it from the box, and Check the connector.

i have similar issues, but no ignition lights, just shows car on jack on the screen! any help gladly accepted
I have the same problem on my e92 320d, the car comes out on a lift and the lights and horn don't work and it won't start.

HELLO WE JUMPED THIS CAS RELAY AS WE THOUGHT IT WAS STARTER RELAY AND IT WASNT..Also jumped battery under trunk, not under hood..after we jumped this BALCK 4 prong cas relay we put it back in and now we have ALL LIGHTS ON with car off..HEADLITES ON, DOMELITES ON, BRAKELITES on, AND WIPERS ON AND AUTOMATIC SHIFTER WONT MOVE..cant shift..LIGHTS ALL ON WITH CAR OFF!! HELP

@@dempseyspins NO I think the CAS MODULE is BAD it showed 3 codes but I have a new starter and battery and still no crank no start..new CAS relays..all the fuses check ot good under dash..not sure if there is another fuse box anywhere

My car bmw 325i 2006 doesnt start from..4 days back..Battery was good..tested by battery mechanic from towing firm, he told me possible starter issue as he couldnt hear noise . How can you check if start motor replacement or CAS relay problem..please help !!

@@gail6904Yes.. I had to drive from austin tx to san jose in 3days..and got a nice mechanic in kyle to fix my starter motor replacement and it runs good and was able to make it to join new job in Jan 2020.

I have a similar problem. The engine turns over when I hold down the start button. I also have a car code A0B4. Any ideas? Theres fuel and spark.
1:11 You just tap the start button. Haven't owned this car but i don't think that would make it start/ turn over, its too quick. 4:03 He actually holds down the start button until it starts.
I really thought this would fix mine as i had the same symptoms but didn't work on mine
