Bangkok to Tehran on Mahan Air - I had been wanting to visit Iran for many years, and it was a long process to finally get my visa and documents ready and prepared to finally visit. We flew directly from Bangkok to Tehran on Mahan Air, the best Iran Airline, and they surprised me with the biggest meal I’ve ever had on an airplane. #Iran #AirplaneFood #Airlines
Special thank you to Mahan Air for such amazing service and hospitality, for the fantastic flight, delicious airplane food, and warm welcome directly from Bangkok to Tehran. It was one of the most memorable flights I’ve ever taken in my life and an airplane flight that I’ll never forget.

Mahan Air staff exemplify the true hospitality and kindness of Iranian people. But y'all watching this video need to know three facts about Mahan Air. They are owned by the IRGC ( revolutionary guard ) which is the paramilitary force of Islamic regime with tens of thousands of innocent Iranian people blood on their hand. Second, they use the cover of commercial airline company to transport mercenary fighter, Iranian people's oil money and supplies to Bashar Assad in Syria and basically are the logistics arm of regime's terrorist activity in the region. Third, they had non stop flights to Wuhan, China early on and all throughout the covid crisis and are basically one of the main reason why Iran got hit with covid early on and very hard. Specially in the city of Qom which is right next to the airport and most of the airport workers are from there.

I have met once a family from Iran in Brazil. He worked at NASA as physicist. His wife, the most beautiful women I ever seen life, 2 great well mannered kids. We had 3 meals a day at the same table for a week. I never met such intelligent, cultural people in my life. I had impression that I sit at the table with true ancient aristocrats.
I’d love to visit Iran, but I live in the U.S. Although I was born in a different country, I’m still scared to go there. Hopefully one day our governments will come to senses and will let people make friends across our borders.

It was the norm many years ago to visit the cockpit.
It was two years ago, my first trip to Tehran to visit my Iranian friend, her name is Zahra. I brought $1000 Singapore dollars for me to spend over there. And my gf insist me to stay with her and her family. So the second day , when I wanted to go out shopping for souvenirs, the market people knew that I wasn’t local because Zahra was telling them ‘ My Singaporean friend come to visit our country’ .. 🤣 in the end I’ve received a lot of free stuffs from the souvenirs shops. Brought back two huge bags full of gifts and Everyday is a feast. I’m very overwhelmed with all the free stuffs and food, my $1000 is still unused. They are very friendly and caring. And Mark Wiens have double confirmed that! Enjoy your Iran Trip!

Iranians are the most hospitable people that you can ever come across. The country is clean, beautiful and the people love and respect everyone, in particular, the foreigners. Having come across many foreigners who have travelled to the country, I assure you that you will never ever come across such a lovely people in any other part of the world. ☺️

I absolutely love Persian food.
The first time I was in a cockpit was on a Bangladesh Biman DC-10. I knew the Captain of Captains and he invited me to sit in the jump seat for most of the journey. It was an amazing experience.
People from Iran are sooo incredibly friendly. Amd honestly i also wanted to go to Iran and I actually bought a ticket to Iran but i live in Slovakia and when the coronavirus kicked in they had to cancel my flight :( at least i my money back. I hope i can go to Iran at least once in my life😃

You definitively have to. I was in Iran 2018 and it was an amazing experience. A beautiful country, lovely people, one of the best kitchens worldwide i had ever tasted. Its more than woth of it.

The Iranian people I have known are very lovely and gracious people. They treated Mark with such love and kindness.
