DUBAI, UAE - Welcome to Dubai! Well actually today we’re flying from Los Angeles directly to Dubai on Emirates Business Class. And I’m going to show you all the food and even the amazing cocktail bar on the airplane - that was a first for me!
So we set off from Los Angeles in the middle of the afternoon, everything went smooth. On our flight we had a choice of a variety of meals, and I chose the Middle Eastern / Emirati food option. First was a mezze starter, and then came the giant shrimp machboos, a traditional Arabian Gulf dish of rice and dried lemons and spices, and without a doubt the biggest shrimp / prawns I’ve ever had on an airplane.
One of the unique features of flying on an A380 on Emirates Business class is that they have a cocktail bar at the back of the airplane where you can order drinks and food at any time!

I feel a bit sad when I watch this video. I used to be an Emirates business class cabin crew., until the pandemic hit and they fired thousands of us… never got my job back 💔💔

@@melissar.8704 we get 90% off tickets but only on economy class, family and selected friends of pilots get discounted business/ first class tickets, so maybe try find and befriend one lol. Next best would be to just book one leg of your journey business, that'll be around 3k. All the best!

It's amazing how well Emirates take s care of their passengers. No doubt costs are high, higher quality food although I haven't had much Arabian or Arabic food. Last plane I was in was in Houston.. they had no tasty food only peanuts (cheap flight) Have a great day Mark Wiens, love the videos!

But seriously, having been unable to travel for the last 3 years now, it is so refreshing to see someone travel in style on a flight!
Sad…. This is how air travel felt when I was a little girl. All the airlines had impeccable stewardesses, white linen, cold fine china, and served seafood and wine and gourmet desserts. Flying was a whole experience. That is why Emirates is special now perhaps….they’ve kept that feeling alive which is something most people will gladly pay for. Times have changed.

Very true. People enjoy experiences much more than things. They will save money to afford an unforgttable experience that creates memories (e.g., Travel), which is something that will last far longer than just a material thing that cost a lot but hold little meaning.

A whole BAR in a plane? 😧 That’s real fancy! That food is also making me seriously crave some arabian cuisine. If I can ride business, i’d definitely aim to do it with this airline (and probably snag the really cute salt & pepper shakers from breakfast). Thank you for the fantastic video Mark!

Plus the Irish Bar in the airport was always a good place to stop and chat to other travelers.

Wow, everything is amazing from start to finish! I wonder if the staff slept at all on this flight, they were so attentive, and what an amazing plane, it's like a first class hotel in the sky! The Arabs really know how to do things right!
