Correction - The Water sink @ 3:40 is for Drinking Purpose not Hand Wash
Hi, everyone! Today I explored the Sir M Visvesaraya Terminal which is located near Baiyappanahalli in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
SMVT is India's First Railway Station which comes with Centralised AC Facility and was inaugurated on 6th June 2022.
This doesn't look like a normal Railway Station in any sense. It gives you a feel of Premium Domestic Airport with multiple resources and facilities.
From sources, it's expected to be built in a budget of Rs 314 Crore.

The terminal is built so well but the platforms seem a bit basic compared to the terminal. Looks like they don't have lifts/ escalators in the platforms. Its not easy for people who find it hard to walk/ climb much to get to-and-from trains. I hope they do so in the future. This will make the platform a lot more accessible.
But overall, great design. Super proud to be from Bengaluru. Best city in the world.

No, this is not situated at the airport. The reason why I have highlighted that point is because there’s no such railway station as of now in India. If you know any, let me know. Also, it resembles the look and architecture of Kempegowda International Airport, hence Airport like facilities cause you don’t get escalators, modern architecture and the first time feel. You can check the video of Airport and you will get to know the reason.

Currently, only 13 pairs of trains ply here, and most of them are not daily. So, daily, only 5 to 6 trains ply.

There is no frequent BMTC bus facilities nor metro link (nearest or attached) metro station for the convenience of middle class and poor people who come with luggage. Government always provide facilities to rich people by providing a/c busses a/c trains, a/c railway station etc. What about common people. How can he afford the cost of living?
