Swans are plentiful in Scotland as are geese in the United States. I've been attacked by a goose before. Both birds will attack humans if they feel threatened, particularly during breeding season. If you get too close to the female sitting on a nest they built, the male standing guard will go after you.

Hey Dawn, another great reaction. Your laugh is such fun to listen to. Since you love the chemistry between Simon Pegg & Nick Frost you might be interested in a sitcom they did together called "Spaced" from 1999. It's really good & chaotic in a fun way. They're best pals in that too.
It's as common as being attacked by a goose when they're breeding. They're protecting the female and the eggs. Geese will set up nests in parking lots, and if you walk too close, watch out.
The local swans here had developed an extortion racket for people having lunch by the river in summer. They would waddle up to people having a picnic there and effectively sit on them until they were fed. Since they were generally larger and much stronger than their chosen targets it worked quite e4ffectively. They didn't even have to be vicious or threatening about it.
After the Cornetto Trilogy, there's a Fourth (unofficial) Movie (made in the U.S.) called "Paul". Simon and Nick play a pair of Sci-Fi fans (writing a book) that take a Holiday to attend a Comic-con in America and do a road trip around the western U.S.. they happen to come across a guest that needs their help. And the fun begins! BTW, I really love your reactions! 10 out of 10!
3:07 is one of my favorite foreshadowing lines in a movie. It literally gave away the entire twist that was coming from the start of the movie. Nicholas Angel: "You can't just make people disappear." "Yes I can, I'm the Chief Inspector." I love the snappy editing style that Edgar Wright uses in his films. Loved his film Baby Driver too. The Chief Inspector was in Harry Potter too as Prof. Slughorn. The yarp guy is known for playing a character in Game of Thrones, so maybe you saw a reference to that on tt?

Aaah, we all knew you would love this one 😄 But there is no need to be sad that it ended, it is so rewatchable. On subsequent viewings, you will pick up on more and more callbacks and typical Edgar Wright touches that you missed first time around. A Scottish touch for you is the two Desk Sergeants. Bill Bailey (hilarious comedian and Strictly winner) plays them both. You can tell them apart because (a) they've different hairstyles (b) one is friendly and the other certainly is not, (c) they are reading different books. One is reading “Complicity” by Iain Banks, the other reading "The State of the Art" by Iain M Banks. The joke here is that Iain Banks (The Wasp Factory, The Crow Road, etc) and Iain M Banks (Consider Phlebas, Use of Weapons, etc) are the same bloke and one of my favourite authors. He used the "M" to distinguish his Sci-Fi from his more mainstream works. The Scottish touch is that Banks is from Dunfirmline. Sadly taken from us at too early an age, he is regarded as one of the Top 50 modern authors.

There are several borrowed pieces from other movies, indirectly. They're a sort of homage. Like the Japanese Peace Lily, in Leon the Professional, he carried around an indoor plant which is also an Arum. When he hits the kid on the head with the can, Crocodile Dundee.
Hello Dawn!😊 The blend of comedy, violence, and grisly murders in this film is hilarious.🤣🤣 Speaking of birds, my friend was attacked by a gang of wild turkeys, true story.🦃🦃🦃🦃😆 The NWA is the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance, Dawn. I believe Danny's mother committed suicide. This is my favorite of the Cornetto Trilogy!🏆 Great reactions to the best of the Cornetto Trilogy, Dawn!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
As soon as I saw Dawn was going to react to this I knew she was going to love it. This is right up her alley and didn't disappoint. I absolutely *LOVE* the editing in this. It really gives the movie such a fun personality. This is the best of the bunch in my eyes and 100% re-watchable.
My favorite thing about this is that the producers struggled for a while to come up with someone who could play a Timothy Dalton-esque villain for Skinner, and then one day they're just like "Why don't we ask Timothy Dalton?" :P
I feel like, when Dawn first started doing reactions, this would have been a movie she wouldn't have wanted to watch, thinking it was just a 'boy movie', when really it was the perfect movie for her. Glad she got to watch this and we got one of the best reactions to a movie in a long time!
Oh, I love that you are finally reviewing this one! It is the best of the Cornetto trilogy. But sorry about the pink eye; I have it too so I sympathize. (Let's just say, never rub your eyes while eating flavoured crisps/chips.) 😢
Dawn, have you seen "Spaced" ? It was a British TV show back in the 90s, Edgar Wright directed it, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are both in it. Basically birthed the Cornetto trilogy. Only 2 seasons, maybe 12-14 total episodes. It's the same feel, right up your alley, and I would love to see you react to it if you haven't seen it yet.
I've been dying to see you react to this one. So, of course, it drops on a day where a power line is down and I have neither internet nor power. 😅 10:55 Well done, Dawn. 🤣
Dawn going 'I know him, he was in ...', 'She was in that other show...' for 30 minutes 😀. To be fair, I just noticed that the pub landlady is Julia Deakin.Passed me by on previous watches.
I used to say that I didn't really have a favorite movie, just a group of absolute favorites. Then, one day, I woke up and realized that I had watched Hot Fuzz four times in the previous 48 hours.
Simon and Nick are besties in real life. They met while working in a restaurant when Simon was a young actor. later, when Simon co-wrote SPACED, he brought Nick Frost onto the show, even though Frost was not an actor at all. Simon was just certain that he'd be funny on camera. And that's how their enduring creative partnership started.
It’s called “The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy” because they cover different genres (“flavours”). But in recent years people online started the trend of shortening it to “The cornetto trilogy”. Initially Edgar Wright mentioned the trilogy title as a jokey reference to the French “Three Colours Trilogy”, but the interviewer took him seriously, so it stuck and by the time Hot Fuzz was being filmed both Edgar Write Simon Pegg had grown to love it and made it official.

It's such a great movie. Love that you spotted the Aaron A. Aaronson pay off. Nearly every line spoken pays off later in the film. "You wanna be a big cop in a small town, f*** off up to the model village." So where does the final chase scene end but in the model village.
Everyone who clicked the like button did it for The Greater Good.
The greater good.

"Shut it!"
Mispronounced. Too many consonants, acting like the letter “t” exists.
Absolutely jam packed with stars of film and tv.
Her: It's the news reporter guy i nailed it!
Me: (points at screen laughing).
This is one of my favorites! So so funny and well done. My wife and I use lines from it all the time.
As soon as i saw this pop up i clicked, one of my favourite reactors reacting to one of my favourite films
I only recently discovered that the guy who got decaffeinated played the dad in the British version of Shameless.
Biscuit willy😂😂😂 without a doubt my favorite phase.
Still such a brilliant movie and always fun to watch over and over again. Cheers Dawn.
The 'Yarp' guy is The Hound from Game of Thrones
I feel like, when Dawn first started doing reactions, this would have been a movie she wouldn't have wanted to watch, thinking it was just a 'boy movie', when really it was the perfect movie for her. Glad she got to watch this and we got one of the best reactions to a movie in a long time!
Biscuit Willy eh? Crumbs!
Ouch, crumbs in your foreskin 🍪🍪🍪
The "yarp" guy is Rory McCann, and he actually plays The Hound in Game of Thrones 😂 it's such a shock seeing him in something so funny!
10:55 Well done, Dawn. 🤣
Dawn going 'I know him, he was in ...', 'She was in that other show...' for 30 minutes 😀. To be fair, I just noticed that the pub landlady is Julia Deakin.Passed me by on previous watches.
The most fun of the trilogy and the definite fan favorite overall. And for good reason... and the greater good.
The greater good.
The Greater Good
one of the all-time best films, the writing is beyond
I used to say that I didn't really have a favorite movie, just a group of absolute favorites.
Then, one day, I woke up and realized that I had watched Hot Fuzz four times in the previous 48 hours.
I’ve watched it loads of times and still go back to it if I can’t think of what to watch. Every time I spot something I missed in the first watch x
You absolutely have to react to "Spaced".
Thank you, Dawn! Very entertaining reaction!
18:52 jeeziecreezie i love your reactions, Dawn!
31:38 I’m sure this was an homage to Fawlty Towers S1E4 ‘Hotel Inspectors’ 🤣
"Have we met him before?"! That's the fridge magnate, George Merchan.
Man Edgar Wright is so good, this always makes me laugh even after many watches, definitely my favourite director
I'm glad Dawn was able to enjoy and have a big laugh from this movie, especially after watching Platoon.
Great reaction!
This is one of my all time favorite movies. So yes, best movie ever to me too!!!
Best movie ever? Yaaarrp!
