    Enjoyed that and as has been said, seeing the water level rise. Barbus certainly put up a good scrap too.

    Well done for venturing out in the recent flood conditions. Enjoyable video as always and a lovely barbel on the method feeder! I was on the Severn last week for four days in very similar conditions, trees and branches coming down and chocolate coloured water. It wasn’t till 4 pm on the final day, when the level had dropped a fair bit and I could fish further out into the flow, that I received my one and only bite, a barbel about 7 lbs.

    Hi thanks for another great video, even the dogs enjoy them with the wildlife in the background. I have a trip to Whitney court in a couple of weeks, any advice on that particular stretch?

    • @silentangling
      @silentangling  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kevinsiddle4461 Hi Kevin, Many thanks for your kind words and support for the channel.
      I've only fished Whitney in the winter ( there's a video in the day ticket playlist ) it's a beautiful stretch with lots of potential. I would look for the shallow faster water with cover over head as the fish still seem be be in their summer residence. Try and trott a bait or keep it moving. Meat, corn, pellet all produce but id probably avoid maggots. Obviously keep an eye on the weather and water levels as this can change overnight and you'll need to hunt out the snaggs. I highly recommend giving the river keeper a bell, he's a lovely chap and will have the latest gossip. Hope this helps and please keep me posted on how you get along, tight lines and thanks again.

      Hi Martin, Many thanks for your time in watching and especially commenting. The clip really helps when you want to fish with a nice long hookling but the bankside vegetation is still quite long.

    Another interesting watch! What make is your bait bucket?

    • @silentangling
      @silentangling  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi John, Credit goes to you for that fish as it was after your advice on FB that I chanced my arm at a cast under the Willow.
      The bait bucket is the 7l Drennan specialist, the zip broke after the first seasons but that was more to do with my heavy handed treatment, it's a useful bit of kit as it'll crush down and fit in a rucksack. Smashing stuff. Was that a maggot clip for the PVA bag? Smart. That cygnet was very small for this time of year.
