Just bought a used copy of this game, my favotite line so far is: “That would be most appropriate, given the rules…”. LOL Great work guys, I’m binging this series on Skytear!

Age of Steam maps are like what you describe at the beginning, but for a different genre of board games.
Love the century old yes we have no bananas reference. Digging deep.

I just received a demo copy of the game (which should be identical to the retail version) and it doesn't come with the art/lore book. Thought you may like the info. Great video!

While this would probably never happen to table top or pen and paper games, its something to think about: Online games becoming more and more "owned" and "controlled" by the company even after you buy it.
I am here enjoying Homebrewed/Fan made cards for the Marvel Champions LCG, it always amazes me how outsourcing and crowdfunding can improve the gaming experience, or how "House Rules" often makes games even better - sometimes bad games can be saved by said House Rules, this all boils down to the creativity of players. As a lawyer IRL, I some times wonder how these things are becoming more and more relevant considering the End User License Agreements, and Digital Ownership changes affecting gamers eveywhere. One of the Best things about table top is the total ownership of what game you buy, unlike online games - where your purchase could change at any time.
Recently, Activision Blizzard launched a new "reforged" version of Warcraft III, promising better features but it was basically a downgrade, the major change was the EULA agreement - which was permanently changed to mean that Blizzard would now own any game you create using the map editor , it even has a clause saying that you "waive your moral rights" to the game, so they don't even have to give you any credit if blizzard decides to make money off your game. the "update" was made in such a way that it overwrites your original Warcraft III version, making it impossible to play without agreeing to everything in the new one. Very sad news, alarming for gaming in general.

The hits just keep coming for Blizzard...
Sad to hear about that. The wild west of early Warcraft was such an innovative space.

Would u recommend this over godtear? We play a lot of wildlands now and I have Kickstarted super fantasy brawl and I was also think too buy the 2 starter sets of godtear. I don’t want too fill up my closet with skirmish games so I hope o won’t eventually buy everything 😂

Hard to say! Very different games, without a doubt, so watch videos/play each to make sure. Super Fantasy Brawl looks like a good one too. Worth noting that we really enjoyed Skytear for the actual MOBA experience it brought. Very well done.

@@denizkandemir9744 wildlands plays way faster than godtear as I have both. I hear they're releasing a co-op/solo expansion this year for wildlands.

I can see I'm in good company. We love wildlands. Got SFB all in KS. Just found this and really curious on how it would play. High Hope's for Super Fantasy Brawl here fingers crossed. Hows Godtear? Will have to look into that.

I didn't realize this format came from rts, which is even funnier, as this format has given birth to auto-chess. Give the players the tools, and your next idea will be made for you.
