Agreed. The screen refresh rate in snapchat on android is 60 or below and it's Laggy as hell. S23 ultra in any app using the camera drops from 120fps to 60. Its a joke.

I'm really mad at Snapchat for making the clueless people believe that Android phones are trash. They literally base it off of the poor compression. When you take a second and look at any media uploaded to for example Google Drive coming from an Android, you would instantly see the quality improve.

I’m an android dev, I’m no Apple user and I know android is trash. I know the OS is laggy like this not just on Snapchat but any app that uses camera like Evernote, Google translate, Google keep, etc. I know why this is the case, you should see the amount of SDk levels there are in android, more than 33 levels of SDK/API, just to grab permission to use file one has to write code in all the versions to make sure it works in everyone’s devices. This is extremely difficult and not worth the effort. Plus forget software, there are thousands and thousands of android models coming out every year.

Apple doesn't remotely support that they wnat you locked in for your safety via obscurity (often bound for failure). Buy a new phone every year is upserd and shouldn't be the basis for a business.

Alright look.. the choppy thing that happens on the pixel cuz it's switching between the 1x and the telephoto lens when zooming in and out. But on iphone it only uses the 1x camera till you switch to the ultra wide lens only. I have both phones and i was thinking the same as you until i figured it out. Any one that has a high end android phone like this go and try it compared to an iphone and you'll see yourself

What's really bugging me is that I set a custom notification sound for an individual conversation by press holding the notification and it's still used the default sound

one of the main reasons i switched to phone from samsung is the camera quality on snapchat and instagram

The app limits features on android like deleting account straight from settings but instead we have to go to the website and do it
