Yeah, the more I pay attention to our pal Xiggy, the more I am 100% convinced he's just hamming it up the ENTIRE time, ever since his order from the master of masters. Dude is just too ruggedly dramatic.
Plus he is the only character we see "die" offscreen. It's a clear sign in any story that if someone right there gets offscreened.... they're not dead haha. Xiggy does it a different time in the story as well, but I won't point it out specifically for spoilers.
This might be the best Kingdom Hearts video on TH-cam. High production quality, top tier clickbait that is admittedly not a lie in the title, and a recap of the franchise's entire plot with only a couple missed details (Namely, the reveal in Dream Drop Distance that Nobodies actually do grow their hearts back). How somebody can release a video like this with a somewhat active channel and not have even 1000 subs is insane to me.

In Dream Drop Distance, Xemnas and Braig reveal to Sora that the original organization's intention was to get 13 empty husks for Xehanort to take over, but nobodies are capable of regrowing a heart to replace the ones they lost. That caused some of the members to not fit the requirements necessary to fulfill the plan. The reveal gets hinted at over the course of the game with Xemnas chuckling at Pinocchio growing a heart and agreeing with Sora's claims that they should be able to grow hearts if a puppet can. He also brings up how memories and hearts are directly related in The Grid, implying that anybody with memories will grow their own heart.

The three most likely candidates would be Strelitzia, Ava, or Skuld. Its unlikely to be Strelitzia since she's in Quadratum, Ava has no evidence either way, but Skuld is the most likely because she does have the black hair implied in the character files, but also has stars all over her character design which is a very Kingdom Hearts thing to do since Axel is Sun-themed and Saïx has moon powers.

Just from the title I was expecting another bash on KH. As a long time fan, this was really well made and gave respect to the series even if you didn't like it. Its true that once you start to become critical about the writing that it may break for you, but its the fact that kh plays its story so serious that you can't help but wonder whats the next step of the journey. The KH series has always been about Heart. through good and bad you see the love and effort put into these games. This was a very great video with great editing and im glad you took something out of this series.

It's quite comparable to Fairy Tail if you've ever heard of that manga series. It has always been a punching bag of sorts in the anime community cause it's a shonen that heavily relies on the power of friendship. While objectively the story isn't the best out there. But god-damn does it hit you in the feels while having very memorable characters. I could go on about it but I'll cut it short to this length.

Lea and Isa weren't trying to rescue Kairi, they were trying to rescue a black haired girl hypothesized to be Skuld from Union X, who may have been transported to Radiant Garden without her memories after Data Daybreak town was destroyed at the end of Union X. Other than that relatively minor mistake, pretty good synopsis.

It looked like at the begining but in one of the last updates it was shown that Darkness ITSELF without Ventuses help killed her and later commanded him to take her book. It's stated in secret reports to KH3 not MoM and it wasn't Kairi who they were trying to rescue. Wow this video randomly showed up in my recommended and, as someone who knows the ENTIRE Kingdom Hearts lore, I had to watch it cause it always makes me laugh. It was so high quality I was shocked to see how little subs you had. Def earned my sub and share.

18:00 Right here you have described every Kingdom Hearts fan. Even if we're adults now and we can tell this is just randomly put together story beats to keep the train going for eternity. We still love it, and on Critical mode this is one of my favorites action RPGs out there next to Dark Souls, and NieR Automata. I grew up with it as a pre teen on the PS2 so ofc it holds a place in my heart especially 1&2, that prolly' wont ever change.

Dude this was such a delight to watch, as someone who's been a fan of the game since kh1 came out in 2002. Like, yeah, you can say it's dumb and you don't like it and it's not to your tastes. You played the games, you have that right. You may not have wanted it, but you're one of us now. :p only kh fans get to make fun of kh. In all seriousness though, you're right that this game is special, nothing in it was ever something Nomura didn't want and envision for the series. Nomura is more than a game director. He's a fashion designer. He's an artist. I genuinely believe the kh series is a work of high art that explores the full potential of what you can do with storytelling in the video game format. Nomura is a genius and he owns my soul. Like! Dude! At the end of kh3 you lose and then come back and replay the same few cutscenes after Sora uses the power of waking to rewrite time. What does that say, as a game, to the player, about the concept of video games in and of itself? How many times was this story rewritten bc Sora didn't like the outcome? Gives new meaning to the difference between Sora's post lost-battle floatiness vs. the crossed arms pose. There are three mainline games but every installment (spinoffs included) is more important than the last. I hope you play kh4 when it comes out.
This was very entertaining, and I’m in complete agreement. The first time I got I play Kingdom Hearts I immediately realized the story was complete nonsense, but the gameplay, music, and Disney nostalgia just really sinks its teeth into you. I hope this channel blows up. The amount of work you put into this video really shows!
This was an amazing video. I can't really say anything negative about it. From 17:18 - 18:25 you hit the nail on the head for those of us who were able to play Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 on release. This video was just an absolutely fantastic use of an hour, I loved every second of it. This is coming from a Kingdom Hearts fan who has been playing the games since the very beginning, buying each new game as they came. I enjoyed each one I played, but rarely left a game without qualms at least a couple weeks later once I had time to digest what I'd played. I sent this to some friends of mine as well. You hit everything that mattered here, and you absolutely did it with style. The editing here is fantastic, such a great use of cuts. And I laughed more than once when something nonsensical would happen and we would just cut to you, you'd give the little look we're all feeling, and then we'd get back into it. Thanks for making this video for us, from the bottom of my (Kingdom) heart 😁

I just finished the video and I must say...knowing this game series for 4 or maybe even more years,this video helped me out to actually understand it all way better than ever before...i must say i was very lost after kh3 especially with the dlc, even union x confused me so much. I was on board with KH up until time travel was introduced and the revelation that Xehanort wanted to do good but just went about it in a terrible way. Low-key hoping KH4 gets the series back on track but I get the feeling Nomura is getting too high on his Versus XIII notes to create a coherent story.

The console crossing is probably the craziest thing in the KH series. The fact we can get them all on one platform now with the remaster/remake bundles that are out there now makes things at least a little easier for people. Now you don't need 12 consoles you just have to parse together the story.

If I remember correctly, Venitas was a way to refer back in the day to when Ventus was possessed by Vanitas at the end of BBS.

I gotta agree with everyone else, even professionals presentations manage to at least bore people out at some point, but in 1 hour never did I lose focus. You have a talent for making people pay attention, whether it be through always engaging people in the visual, the pacing and words or the editing, it's very good. Wow this video randomly showed up in my recommended and, as someone who knows the ENTIRE Kingdom Hearts lore, I had to watch it cause it always makes me laugh. It was so high quality I was shocked to see how little subs you had. Def earned my sub and share.

18:00 Right here you have described every Kingdom Hearts fan. Even if we're adults now and we can tell this is just randomly put together story beats to keep the train going for eternity. We still love it, and on Critical mode this is one of my favorites action RPGs out there next to Dark Souls, and NieR Automata. I grew up with it as a pre teen on the PS2 so ofc it holds a place in my heart especially 1&2, that prolly' wont ever change.

Dude this was such a delight to watch, as someone who's been a fan of the game since kh1 came out in 2002. Like, yeah, you can say it's dumb and you don't like it and it's not to your tastes. You played the games, you have that right. You may not have wanted it, but you're one of us now. :p only kh fans get to make fun of kh.
In all seriousness though, you're right that this game is special, nothing in it was ever something Nomura didn't want and envision for the series. Nomura is more than a game director. He's a fashion designer. He's an artist. I genuinely believe the kh series is a work of high art that explores the full potential of what you can do with storytelling in the video game format. Nomura is a genius and he owns my soul. Like! Dude! At the end of kh3 you lose and then come back and replay the same few cutscenes after Sora uses the power of waking to rewrite time. What does that say, as a game, to the player, about the concept of video games in and of itself? How many times was this story rewritten bc Sora didn't like the outcome? Gives new meaning to the difference between Sora's post lost-battle floatiness vs. the crossed arms pose. There are three mainline games but every installment (spinoffs included) is more important than the last. I hope you play kh4 when it comes out.

This was very entertaining, and I’m in complete agreement. The first time I got I play Kingdom Hearts I immediately realized the story was complete nonsense, but the gameplay, music, and Disney nostalgia just really sinks its teeth into you.

This was an amazing video. I can't really say anything negative about it. From 17:18 - 18:25 you hit the nail on the head for those of us who were able to play Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 on release. I waited until KH3 and when I finally played it I had ZERO Z-E-R-O idea what the hell the game was talking about.

You know, as he was talking about Riku getting sealed behind the door the first time I told myself he wasn't mentioning Mickey for some reason. After awhile I forgot about it, the realization at the end when he brings up Disney is hilarious.
This video was just an absolutely fantastic use of an hour, I loved every second of it. This is coming from a Kingdom Hearts fan who has been playing the games since the very beginning, buying each new game as they came. I enjoyed each one I played, but rarely left a game without qualms at least a couple weeks later once I had time to digest what I'd played.
I sent this to some friends of mine as well. You hit everything that mattered here, and you absolutely did it with style. The editing here is fantastic, such a great use of cuts. And I laughed more than once when something nonsensical would happen and we would just cut to you, you'd give the little look we're all feeling, and then we'd get back into it. I just finished the video and I must say...knowing this game series for 4 or maybe even more years,this video helped me out to actually understand it all way better than ever before...i must say i was very lost after kh3 especially with the dlc, even union x confused me so much. I was on board with KH up until time travel was introduced and the revelation that Xehanort wanted to do good but just went about it in a terrible way.
Low-key hoping KH4 gets the series back on track but I get the feeling Nomura is getting too high on his Versus XIII notes to create a coherent story.

Kingdom Hearts is proof that every director needs an editor willing to yell "Fucking NO, STOP."
The console crossing is probably the craziest thing in the KH series. The fact we can get them all on one platform now with the remaster/remake bundles that are out there now makes things at least a little easier for people. Now you don't need 12 consoles you just have to parse together the story.
