      +Jennifer Ferguson The bare feet are not the big issue. but the hands on the breast/chest, and around between the legs is.
      If anybody else touched her like this they would spend a long time in prison, and it's just as traumatic to her.

      wow I hope all children's physicians nurses, and professionals who before the drop pants and cough exam, or pelvic exams on young girls for various reasons are prepared to spend the rest of their lives in prison for performing their jobs. this agent is a licensed professional who is looking for terrorists activities.. not hand raping children. did the girl like it...hell no..but she certainly was not being sexually assaulted...

      @idkimlesbian8976 5 ปีที่แล้ว +176

      You cant say "honestly it isnt that bad" when you dont have the same triggers as others. Maybe for you theyre fine, and i respect that. But when someone who has went through physical or mental trauma that might cause them to have severe ptsd while being touched, even if it isnt in a threatening way, its horrible. Im a rape victim and i dont let anyone touch me unless i completely trust them because it will literally make me have ptsd, flashbacks and even make me feel suicidal. KayLynne Uhl what does wearing a dress have to do with anything? She’s a little kid...she was scared, uncomfortable, and embarrassed. To me her interview were words she was repeating from her father and probably the media that was interviewing her. Her dad knew she couldn’t have a juice box on a plane...they do not let you carry over 3 ounces of liquid. I don’t fly and even I know that. I hate it for the child but she was just doing her job and her father should have explained that to her so she felt better in that situation.

    This looks nothing but professional. Unfortunately some people do use children to smuggle things internationally because they think they're less likely to be checked. If they stopped checking children at all you'd just get more & more cases of children being used and exploited to smuggle illicit substances.

    There's nothing sexual about the pat down, the whole thing is professionally done. Why is this father and child making a big deal out of it? It's a requirement when airport security feels the need to do out of the safety of everyone else boarding a plane. If people are out of touch about reality and the dangers of travelling a plane, then travel by car, bus or get your own plane.

      +Puff Of Smoke Exactly! Plus, that TSA agent couldn't have been more professional or polite. Yet, if the only people the TSA searched were anything but a white person, people would be screaming "RACISM!" I read previous comments where people were bashed because they didn't see anything wrong with the pat down. I think those bashers just want something to throw a tantrum about. I have a seven year old daughter. If the TSA chose to do a random (or not so random) pat down, then so what?!? If you're not doing anything wrong then what's the problem? My daughter would find a way to make jokes about it, and there wouldn't be any therapy needed.

But it’s not spoiled to feel like running away or feeling uncomfortable or embarrassed doing pat downs that involve touching the body or anything scary for that matter. It's horrible, but it keeps people safe. I do feel uncomfortable watching this be done to a Lil girl and I know she was embarrassed, so maybe it should have been done in private, behind a screen with her parents. While I agree that it's a bit much, I agree more with people being safe. However, I am sorry she had to go through this and it is upsetting. But it's even more upsetting when people fly planes into buildings or bring bombs on board.

      Being scared and uncomfortable in these situations is very valid. It’s ok that she is voicing that feeling. She is a ten year old, she probably never had a pat down like this before. First time experiences with new things can be scary. I do agree that it really didn’t need a whole ass news story over. But she should be able to feel emotions. She probably knows it’s protocol. But that doesn’t mean she can’t voice that her fight or flight response was activated during the search.

When I was going to an airport in Shanghai to go to another part of China as a child, I had a cute little scissors that was precious to me and I brought it to the airport. The staff took my precious from me and I cried and threatened to kill and slaughter the security lady to her face, she understood how I felt and what I said but she still said they have no choice but to take the scissors even if I wanted to kill her (I was 6 or 7 years old). Well guess what, protocol is protocol, me or anyone else crying doesn't mean anything because security is first, emotions 2nd and you can do whatever else afterwards. you know what when I have a kid I'm going to teach her/him they are special cause to me they will and if you don't tell your child that you love them and they are special to you that could lead to depression and you know what depression can lead to suicide so just because you didn't teach your child that they are special to you and didn't teach them you love them they are dead you get that so I'm going to love my kid as much as I can with all my heart and more and teach her that they are special cause they ARE! P.S. I hate you

      There is no reason to be feeling it up. We are not a shy or modest nation. We are a nation of 1 dollar strippers every 5 mile drive and maybe 50 dollars every next door. Do we not strip ourselves openly at beaches irrespective of gender and age..??
      Do our girls not strip in parties ?? Why to feel like dying when we have to do that for our country..?? TSA is all about giving you a better life and feel. Kindly feel free to be searched in any manner TSA demands since they know their job well.

    The reality is that parents will put weapons and drugs on their children hoping security won't check them. Of course, if a gun is hidden on a child and then the parent uses that gun on an airplane then the same people complaining about this child being screened will be complaining that TSA allowed a weapon on an airplane.

      Abigail Flood would you like it if you got patted down from a stranger. It was unnecessary for this agent to do that. She could have juice. Besides she is only a child. It doesn't matter if the agent is woman or not. It is still very uncomfortable to be patted down.

      When I was younger I was patted down (I was 10 to and no it was not that bad) and it felt no role even though it only lasted 30 seconds the agent went far to slow and should not have patted her down in places she shouldn't have.

      Yeah,I get why the little girl was upset because why would you pat down a little girl in a wheelchair? What could that little girl possibly be hiding in her jacket or wheelchair?! That's kind of offense because they agent is putting their hands and patting down everywhere on that little girls body's and she's sensitive because of her spine. It made me sad to see her crying and even say "I don't wanna go to Disney World no more" because someone she didn't know was touching her and searching her and her wheelchair as if she was hiding something dangerous
