It's actually incredible how much emotion this band can get across through screeching guitar bends, heavy chugs and very simple melancholic background motifs. There's so much sadness and anger in those guitars, I could listen to them forever.

Especially the intro. The drum beat is kind of monotonous and just going, the background ambience is a short, continuous sad melody and the guitars are melancholic. Really translates the word depression into music.

This song is so brutal yet had a really relaxing vibe.
Wasn’t sure what I’d be doing today, but can’t say I predicted listening to a new Vildhjarta track while looking at a picture of an evil high priest riding a winged demon grizzly who is showing you his high score on fruit ninja via iPad while surfing on a THALL Rolls Royce.

Masstaden has been the soundtrack for great part of my mental recovery process, amid hospitals, doctors and meds. Personally, hearing new Vildhjarta feels like a great reward. And God, it feels good.
0:00-0:45 - I wouldnt be mad if this was kept as a slow black metal or doom intro. It has that walking through the snow in the middle of an unknown woodland as light is beginning to fade vibes.
