  • Prestonett Multi Light roll on plaster from Beissier.
In this video, I demonstrate everything you need to know about plastering a wall using a Roller & a Spatula. I'm using Prestonett Multi Light for this, applying it with a roller and then smoothing it over with a spatula. The video covers the entire process, enabling you to grasp the technique easily and carry it out yourself with greater ease. I'm here to assist you every step of the way. The outcomes are truly impressive.

It’s nothing new. Been skimming walls using ready mixed jointing compound and a caulking board for years. Dulux used to sell it in 10L tubs.

Well done phill, was looking at that product when in brewers last, like you say initial out lay can be expensive. But again you may have some tools that will do equally as good like a spatula/spat. Not so keen on the rollers shedding as they did, bit annoying. I wonder if you could put it on with one of your worn in normal rollers 🤷‍♂️well done for your first try at plastering, end result looks good 👍

I guess its a stepping stone to plastering. There seems a lot of faff compared to plastering but if u cant plaster its the next best thing. I'm happy with filler and wallrock but will give it a try

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator you can at over double the price this is 3 times the price you can roll multi finish did it once just to try and it worked quite well but it is harder to use as your got to get it right without sanding it all down and trowel up etc this gear is better but great if the price didn't make viable for big areas

Plaster would take days to dry out. Such products will be good to go the next day and will be favoured by decorators. They can coat a wall, go do other work for the rest of the day, come back the next day to sand and paint.

@@LS-td3dz More than likely. There is a product available specifically for covering over textured ceilings called "Polycell Smooth Over", not sure what country you are in and availability though?
Basically ready mixed filler that came with a plastic filler knife. Plastic blades make it easy to get a smooth finish, but the problem with plastic blades is even though it will look smooth, it may not be straight
