LOL and I used to be a Delivery Driver delivery medication to a care home way out in Yucca Valley at night. My job was based in Redlands CA.
I live near San Bernardino maybe I'll catch a glimpse of you guys going by.

I am not surprised he was gapping you at +100kph on the handtrike. Aerodynamics is KING! I ride a fast "highracer" recumbent (Cruzbike V20) that costs me on average 60-70 watts less to do the same speed (40kph) on the flats as I do on my triathlon bike. Not only is it way more efficient but I am WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY more comfortable.
As soon as I saw that descent, I said "Bye bye Justin!". Recumbents absolutely rock on descents.
I want to thank you two for this fantastic series. Not only is it for a good cause (yes, I donated because of you), but it has been a delight. When the series kicked off, I honestly groaned thinking it would be tedious. But what a surprise. I have looked forward to each episode to post. That's a rare thing. The great attitude the two of you have had (and that included the modicum of grumpy parts :-) ) along with the delightful, if odd people you meet and the adventure of the road have been fantastic.

I am totally impressed with the strength that you both ride with, I have done short 500 mile rides but your strength is beyond my ability to comprehend, I ride in doors due to cold and am impressed with your route and strength. @@DC-lu5qs Well when I was younger it was so much fun doing the 500, you would not believe it, belly slides in bars, swimming in lakes, and doing on a Tandem when my seat post failed to hold,, I was lots of laughs yet these guy are just tough and full of positive energy thats just amazing to me.

Have not seen the planned routes on kamoot map. If your in the Redlands area now with one day youtube post delay guessing. Make it to San Diams area on Wed. Bike shop, motels, and food places all walking close together. Not much after in all one spot till Pasadena area. Which makes a longer day with stop n go riding in suburbia/indrustry Redlands-Pasdena day. Pomona/Industry Valley way can be heavy traffic in the morning heading west. San Dimas to Pasadena lots of quite side roads to the main roads and a bike path bridge across the San Gabriel river. Plus a few small downtown areas. Not sure of the roads from Pasadena to the beach.

Last part day in the desert left then suburbia and city days till the ocean. Almost party time. One day I will have to do the cross country trip, but on a different route. Learn where the bike paths and less traffic roads are for the last few days. Safer and save time then waiting at more signals then needed.
If you aren’t seeing Joshua trees, you are at too low of an elevation. Time to climb 😅😅😅😅😅

Would love to see (and download?) the planning and booking details etc. I.e. all the info needed to replicate the ride as I’m kind of adventurous minded but in a very organised and planned manner. Generally the cross America thing seems amazing but I’d never know where to go and specifically where not to go.
