For those who know the drink sorrel tastes something like an Arabic Middle Eastern drink called “jallab” or red sobia or sobia hamra !! I came across it in Canada and it was very similar, it came in a concentrated mixture!! The sorrel we know in Trinidad/Caribbean is a type of hibiscus called hibiscus sabdariffa flower !! 🇹🇹🏴
U can add club sod😢a to sorrel to dulute and give it a more refreshing taste. Cloves are an important ingredient along with dried orange peel cinnamon stick and fresh gingerroot!
Cooked cabbage with sausage and bacon grease with sweet corn bread is what we always eat New Year’s Day. My grandparents always said it brings good luck
Love me some sorrel it's refreshing. I realize we truly came from.one place because I'm Guyanese and we cook black eye peas cookup, which is like pilau. I love my people. Mom can sing
