Great video Phil. We'll have to do some new videos/hands-off testing with you. There's lots of great feedback in the comments and we have been listening. Subscribe to Lost Weekends Caravans and I'm sure you will see new exciting products from Telta in the future.
Hi Max. Thank you allowing us to review this versatile Sun Canopy. We look forward to what Telta is developing in the future. Many Thanks Phil & Juliet👍🙂
Hi phil. What a great canopy and so versatile. Looks like it's made from good quality material and looked easy to put up. Thanks for sharing Paul and Sarah
Hi Paul. It is made of very good quality material and yes very versatile. It takes about 15 minutes to put up including the side panels. Hope Sarah is getting better. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Great product Phil, I’d like to see additional material on the side panels to enable a seal between caravan and the awning. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it on your holidays. 👍
Hi Colin. It is a sun canopy so one could argue does it require to be sealed? If you adjust it you can close the gap by pegging under the van. I struggled to do this on the pitch I was on due to really hard ground. I will have a bash in Holland. Thanks as always. Phil🙂👍
Looks quite decent Phil, i agree with what ome of the others commented and would like to see it sealed a little better to the side of rhe caravan, i get that its a sun canopy but a lot of people may consider this as an alternative to a porch awning. Its also a shame that they didnt offer a discount code with say 10% off as i may have considered it, we currently have a Kampa Rally Air Pro awning and a Sunncamp canopy. Great review though Phil and hope you enjoy your holiday 👍
Hi Paul. I think the idea behind it is to offer shelter without the added weight of an awning. They may add the side seals at a later date. I understand they are monitoring the feedback and comments. Re Discount they do not sell direct but use Retailers instead so they could not offer a discount. I do feel that given its versatility and easy of use makes it a winnining formula. Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Hi Irene. This is one to watch, there is nothing like this at present. I feel other Awning Companies will also be monitoring this Canopy. We have tested in Wales next is Holland then Spain. By then I will have a better picture of how this canopy shapes up. Thanks Phil. 🙂👍
Having just purchased our Sky Air Canopy was disappointed with the following defects. Having inflated it I awoke the following morning to find it deflated, established the air release valve was faulty which I replaced. A few days later after some rain found it was leaking from the awning rail down the side of the van. On removing canopy found that the stitching was poor in a couple of areas. Canopy is to be replaced under warranty.
Hi Bob. I am sorry to read that you have had issues. Our Canopy has not had any issues at all and we have faced some really bad weather whilst being away. I understand this is of no comfort to yourself. I hope all goes well with your replacement. Please keep me updated. Thanks Phil. 🙂👍
@@bobthedrive1255 Hi Bob. I have just edited my conclusion video which will be out in the next week or 2. Thanks for the update I hope it all works for you as it has for me. Yes please let me know. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Hi There. Good question. Having used it several times since I have managed to reduce the gap to about a 2 cms. We had really bad weather in Holland and Spain and the small gap was not an issue. I am not letting go of this one it is great canopy and idea. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Dometic Sunshine Air 400 (2024) £430 ish The Telka £425. The Telka is a poor alternative when you look at them side by side, the Dometic is far superior material, however if you consider the sides and front of the Telka 'zip in' and you want a lightweight awning for around £740 then it's versatility may sway you. A great video, well presented.
Hi. I feel the versatility of the Telta makes a great lightweight package for it cost, which is £710 excluding delivery. There is nothing like this on the market at present. You never know Dometic may sit up and take note. Thanks for your fair comment. Phil.🙂👍
Coming from the product team behind both the Telta Sky and Kampa Sunshine AIR, I believe that both canopies have their pro's and con's. With the Sky we have really tried to maximise the canopies versatility and pack-size, to make it something really easy to setup on a caravan and versatile for when bad weather interrupts a sunny trip (which, let's face it, is bound to happen). The zips are a premium compared to the cheaper method of clipping to a pole; however they remove weight, make setup simpler, remove the risk of potential damage to the vehicle and create a much better seal for poor weather conditions. I'm certain that users will have a positive experience with both the Telta Sky and Kampa Sunshine. We are working with a rapidly growing number of retailers in the UK, all of whom have Telta products on display. Otherwise, the team will be at the NEC show in October & February where we invite you to visit the stand to see the whole awning/canopy range.
Thanks for the video. We are touring for 4 weeks in September to 4 or 5 different sites, very tempted at getting this due to its ease of setting up and flexibility for all weathers. How does it cope with wind and rain? Thanks
Hi. We have just returned from Holland where we fully used and tested this Canopy. We had very mixed weather so adding and removing the side panels was very simple, quick to fit and remove. This would be ideal for a tour or regular trips. We are taking it to Spain soon we are so confident in it. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Nice that is doesn't have built in side panels like most do, making it easier to erect, but a shame the additional panels don't appear to have curtain screens
Hi. Yes it is easy to put up and add the sides. There is no curtains because it is not awning it is only a sun canopy with the benefit of having side panels. I never use the curtains in my awnings anyway. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Hi David. Hmm a few years it would have been. Prices have gone up over the years. Sun Canopies alone are over £300. This is still worth the price considering it is 3 in 1. Hope all is well. Thanks Phil. 🙂👍
Hi. Everything has gone up by 30%. I feel the quality and construction is very good plus there is know else like it on the market currently. I except it depends on personal budgets. I will be giving my final opinion in September. Thanks Phil🙂👍

Look forward to your full review. We saw Telta at the NEC year ago, looks really good. Also met Mr Lawless snr, really nice guy.
Hi Stewart. We have thrown all sorts of weather at it except Snow. It has performed really well. Conclusion soon. Thanks Phil.👍🙂

Excellent and honest review, thank you. 👍
Hi Anthony. Many Thanks. We will have a final conclusion at the end of September after using it around Holland and Spain. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Another informative video, thank you. It’s a pity I’ve already got a sun canopy.
Hi Noorman, This is quite a flexible Canopy. It really proved its worth in Wales I can tell you. Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Very interesting, one to think about - thanks for sharing

Nice bit of kit is it me or are the canopies getting stronger and better, Holland and Spain that’s a trip and a half safe driving and have a good time
Hi G&Z It is a great a bit of kit. Yes Holland & Spain the Bucket list is being ticked off.😂 Thanks P&J👍🙂

It would never work in the UK. There is no sun ?
Hi Steve. Yeah no sun just rain😂. Good job it works very well in the rain as well. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Less than a grand… yikes I was hopeful it might be about £350

Too expensive
