    You probably wouldn't work on many 5L40E's that are used the way we use them off road but I'm looking to drop mine, replace the torque converter as a pre-emptive measure so we hopefully don't get caught out in the bush, nothing but 1st gear up really steep climbs for the last 70,000km's of its life and currently at 230,000km's. We drop pan fluid every 30,000km's and push fresh stuff which is around 50% new fluid every 30k I guess, active fan and aftermarket trans cooler, besides this do you suggest any other things I can do to give it the best chance to give longevity? .... also Congrats Ross hopefully can see some crazy pictures of the finished project with the canopy! 👍🔥

    I’m currently building a Mercedes om613 out of a E-class along wit the gearbox that is to be cloned with a mercedes ml transmission so that I’m Abel to fit the Nissan transfer with the transfer adapter that I have made, it’s all going in to a patrol gu
    Do you guys have any experience on the mercedes 722.6 transmission and converter? For all I know it’s strong as hell but is it strong enough to handle a set of 35”, a heavy car on a sand track ore a step slope with out getting hot and trash the hole transmission???
    No body here in Denmark are able to help with this questions , also do your computer work with this transmission?
    Love this videos, keep up the good work😃👍🏻

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are working on the transmission controller to suit the Mercedes 722.6 transmission, also known by Chrysler as the Nag 1. We do have a completed kit and are just adding the final touches on the software. In saying that the 4 speed Nissan GU Patrol RE4 transmission is a great transmission and would suit the om513 perfectly. I would however fit one out heavy-duty billet torque convertor as the slandered Nissan torque convertors are fairly disappointing in most convertions.

      I've had alot of trouble with the NAG1 in a 2012 wk2 diesel jeep. 3 torque converters and 1 whole transmission. I do feel like it was software issue that it destroys itself but the zf 8 speed model I upgraded to was substantially better.

    With the 6R80, is your upgrade kit universal regardless of which vehicle it's in? (aside from the cooler frame mount points) For a Ford Territory 2011 SZ AWD Diesel with a 6R80, I want to upgrade to the improved valve body, thermal bypass valve, case sleeve and your bypass cooler kit. Will all the parts and plumbing fit or are there differences for electrical/programing I will need to account for with this type of upgrade?

      If you call Rodney tomorrow on 03-97628004 and I will be able to put a kit together for you that has the universal mounts but suits the 6R80 transmission.

      Heavy Duty Nomad Valve body and Billet Torque Convertor will make a world of difference to how it drives and feels but will only make a moderate difference to the engines output. I would do the transmission upgrades in conjunction with an engine pump mod.

    Do you have something for a vw 1.9tdi to a h55f in a 60 series? (Hj61)

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TDI conversions are becoming quite common, and we work with a few in the United States that fit the 1.9 VW TDI into the Jeeps. You could install one into std 60 series using the original 4 speed transmission but it’s an old hydraulic system so not adjustable or flexible. I would bolt it up to the 100 series 2UZ 5 speed A750F transmission and use the HDJ79/early VDJ79 part time transfer case. Torque convertor would be perfect for the 1.9L and the transfer case would bolt straight on. This set up would suit the right hand diff centres and be fairly cost effective as the transmissions are very cheap to buy in good condition. Would just need an adapter plate for the bell housing. Transmission controller readily available for the 5 speed auto but would take some tuning to make it perfect. This would need to be tuned in Melbourne if you are in Australia.

      @WholesaleAutomatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We can control the auto with the COMPUSHIFT controller and build a heavy duty torque convertor to bolt directly up to the Ford flex plate, that parts fairly easy. We just need to make an adaptor to go between the Ford bell housing and Nissan auto.

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have thought about this one for a long time now and we would have done this a long time ago but it’s just not suitable for a high power turbo 1FZ. We’re thinking the 6 speed would be better suited. We just need a 1FZ dummy engine to start working out the bolt up. We already have the centre console, tip-tronic T.Bar assembly, rear adaptor and transmission controller on the shelf. The standard flex plate will work, and it would be worth trying the std torque convertor for a first try. Just need to get them bolted up then get someone to install the set up into a car so we can start the custom transmission tunning.
