    Thanks for the work boys, Great episode!
    Glad you found the shudder issue, you said it was only going to get worse so I’m stoked we have addressed this while the trans is out!
    There’s a lot going on in there, definitely not a DIY job that one! 😅
    Thanks so much, wouldn’t trust anyone else to build the trans 🔥
    Bring on the extream valve body and billet converter, power for years to come 👌

    Owner of a 93 gq with the auto. The state of this box sounds like my one. Any idea how many kays are allegedly on it? Planning a few power adders later and will definitely be looking at a valve body upgrade at least.

    Good info, I've got the 180mm bell housing.
    There's a buzzing noise coming from my auto, im guessing it might be one of the solinoids on the valve body.

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Replace the oil filter first and see what this does. Solenoids wont normally buzz in the GU Patrol. A restricted oil filter will cause a little cavitation.

    This was a very informative video, I was interested in this part of Toms build also. You explained the guts and the glory of that box. I am interested in the Nomad valve block. Will be looking for one sometime in the future.

    What would usually make it hold 2nd and not change to third after box gets up to temp , I have replace valve body oil wasn’t burnt and there was minimal metal around the magnet

      When you say you changed the valve body did you mean the complete valve body assembly including lead frame and solenoids?

    Hi Guy's, I'm looking for advice on the repairs/work needed for our Transmission. The Transmission operates fine when the car is first started (All gears can engage while the RPM drops) and then after 10 to 20 seconds the Gears disengage and the RPM rises again, the vehicle won't move.
    The Transmission has been overhauled with new Gaskets, Seals, Friction Plates etc. I have air tested the Clutch Packs and Pistons and all works as they should with pressurized air, the Valve Body has been overhauled with new gaskets, seals and the Solenoids have been Ohms tested with the correct specs, I've run power through the Solenoids and all are opening and closing as they should. I have not replaced any of the Solenoids (only cleaned and tested). I need some advice on where to go next or what could possibly be going wrong with the above mentioned symptoms.
    I've tried to call you's but haven't been able to get through, any advice would be appreciated thank you.
    James

      Sound like you have a blocked filter, even if you have just rebuilt, remove filter and check. If it is blocked what has blocked the filter so fast? Super common but you would not think so after rebuild but check anyway.

      Nomad Valve Body and Dual cooler would be the perfect upgrade for the Nissan auto when towing, here is a link so you have have a look:

    • @WholesaleAutomatics

      Yes it will be fine but if you are going to tow then heavy duty Nomad valve body and deep cast pan. Here is the link:

    Why does my re4 take a bit longer to shift from park to drive. Will shift to L and 2 fine revs out till it gose donk and its fine. 100m down the road its good.

    • @WholesaleAutomatics
      @WholesaleAutomatics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Check oil level first and if fine then service auto replacing oil filter. See what you find. Both 1st and 2nd are boasted pressure but drive isn't. If it still does it after the service then you could be looking at a forward clutch problem.

    I'm about to fit an re4 behind my m57 powered gu patrol, should I waste my time trying to get the factory TCM working as the car is originally manual or go straight to a compushift?

      Oh, that’s easy, Compushift every time! Solves every problem and is fully adjustable via an App on your phone. We have sold about 2,000 of them over time and they are simply brilliant.
