im actually in the process of replacing my valve covers. lets just say yours looks like mines lol. your video came up because im searching whats the orientation of the vvt gaskets. had to take them off because i bought the aluminum valve covers and the bolts it brings is wider than oem so its better if you take the vvt's off.
I don’t know how many miles you have on your car but there is only a few ways oil can get into your intake runners. Your valve sealsor piston rings are worn. Based on your spark plugs having oil I’m leaning towards your rings. If it smokes when you start it In the morning then it dissapears after warming up it’s your valve seals. If it’s constantly smoking then it’s your rings. Either or I would engine swap or take the engine out at that point. It be cheaper to over haul it than just be filling it with oil all the time. P.S you guys mentioned catch can…. your just masking the problem.
DE have crap rings from factory, but she has no blow by to the extent that you’re worried about. A motor swap would be too extreme lol. Catch cans help remedy the issue that will never be fixed until you build the motor. The smoke was residual oil and it doesn’t smoke at start up 🤙🏽
@@On3_media it would be too extreme but in the long run it would be cheaper. Putting oil all the time isn’t something you should be doing or economical 😅 I mean two quarts now a days is a tank of gas
@@eduardonunez4377 she’s not pouring new oil in to that extent lol. If it was that bad I’d agree. But to swap a motor for an issue most DE has from factory means it could just happen again or be worse. If we swap motors I’ll be convincing her to LS, JZ, HR/VHR or VR30 swap it. No more DE.
@@On3_media yeah you said swap it to LS… COULDNT AGREE MORE haha but yeah I wouldn’t per say swap it for another DE I would rebuild the one she has already. But I don’t know much about imports or how much it costs to build an engine for a DE but I know LS is cheap power👌🏼
do u remember or know what specific spark plugs u got? i recently did the exact same thing and after changing to the new spark plugs the car went from starting perfectly with bad spark plugs to having a tougher time starting with the new ones so im assuming the store recommended me the wrong ones
Came from insta, glad to know you got helpful TH-cam vids too 😭😭
Yes... you do need a OCC.. it really helps keep the oil out of the plenum.. and another good video too
Thank you 🙏🏼
Do you know how to do anything yourself

💯 also consider changing oil types to match your climate and remedy the engine issues just did that for my g
I’m doing mine right now and that one bolt in the back by the passenger side gave me a huge headache 😂 putting back on was almost impossible
i just did my valve cover on my 350z the other day and it was a pain lol
Yeah they’re pretty annoying to do lol

@@eduardonunez4377 yessir! That’s why I’m doing a turbo 5.3 on my Z! Cost vs output is amazing! It’s her choice, but I’ll push LS3 😂
the corner bolts i used a swivel head to get them corner bolts on
Never. Again.
Great job!
Hi is there any specific when you tighten the screw? In the plenum?
Yeah, there’s a specific pattern. You can find it on TH-cam I believe? That’s how I figured it out

I got the Bosch double iridium spark plugs. They’re $9.49 a piece.
Check your gap!
my g just shuts off while driving. After all repairments of gaskets, tune ups, it came to conclusion that its probably my cooling system
camshaft sensor
Get a code reader..its a cam or crankshaft sensor 98% of time
Had same issues
You sit so close to the steering wheel "short people problems" I would be scared if someone hit me and I have no airbag that close.
Is the g 35 the only car you have ?
Yes
@@vqbella_ that one from the back is that the supra or the ae 86 ?
@@JDMINCALIFAS looks like a 370z
So dissapointed🤬🤬🤬 should of went ahead and put a plenum spacer
Wat wheels ?
You had a misfire for 2 years?!?
No. The car eventually had one later on.
😂🤣😂
Yooo, coming from owning multiple VQ’s myself…..
Yes. 2 years. It happens.

Mishimoto here, hearing that it’s essentially the same thing for anyone else reading.
