    I’ll give u a word of advice if u don’t mind.
    Never get under a truck with bags inflated.
    I watched one blow on a empty trailer just as a tech was getting out from under it. Had he of been under the trailer, I’m sure he would of got hurt bad.
    Just a freak accident. I never get under a truck or trailer with bags inflated since.

    I really thank you for helping us learn to save time and money!! I messed around and messed the bolt head up on one of my u joint straps. I will have to cut it with a torch but wanted some advice before I burnt my truck down. Have you ever had to do this?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There is a thread locking compound on the strap bolts heat will help loosen the thread locker. If you have a welder you can weld a nut to the bolt so you can get a socket on it again. Cutting it off would be last resort as you're still have the threaded portion of the bolt in the hole to deal with

    • @invisibilianone6288
      @invisibilianone6288 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ezrider359 same advice I was going to say,,, almost word for word👍
      Like he said, don't cut it off, just weld a nut onto the stripped bolt head.,,the heat from welding may be enough to loosen the thread locker stuff, on the threads of the bolt you are trying to remove🎯

  • @StayingBack71
    @StayingBack71 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yet you'll still have the suburbanite Rubs that'll just have to get the Tiger tool to remove joints-Just cause they "have" to have it. Hey Ezra- Hows things over at TTR? Miss you guys over there, Also, ca n I balance my Driveshgafts myself? Any tools or something I can make? I got a shimmy under load ,New u joints ,motor mounts and Center bearing- Clutch has a million on it- Measured travel on pilot bearing looks good- Only thing I can figure out is outta balance shafts- This is only under "Heavy" pulls going upgrade in low thru 2nd gear.

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know of a way to Ballance a shaft yourself without specialized equipment. Would still save you some money to pull your driveshafts out and take them to a driveline shop than to just bring them the truck

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it all comes apart ok it's not a bad job. Iv had to cut them off the driveshaft before though. So it's one of them jobs that can either be easy or a pia.

    • @williekaminski3705
      @williekaminski3705 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's easy until you get a hard one, then it's an unbelievable pain and you need a set of torches and a big hammer to get them apart. Especially the ones that haven't been apart in years and have 4 bearing plates unlike the ones in this video that have 2 bearing plates and 2 straps. Great video by the way!

    My truck has a different style ... i cant figure out how to take the drive shaft off ... the thing you hammer out after taking the drive shaft off is whats holding the DS

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If all 4 are that style that I took out after removing the drive shaft that's a full round style. They come out the same way except you have to do the first two like that with the drive shaft in place. Not a whole lot of fun especially if they are seized pretty good. It's still doable though. My peterbilt has full round u joint's.
