I’m expecting my little one in August of this year :) want to balance both motherhood and being an artist, I don’t want to lose my creativity while caring for my child. Plus I want to pass some of my creativity onto my son/daughter too 😊
I wish I had found this earlier. "Your identity is stripped away from you a little bit" is the feeling I had. I went through ppd and anxiety. It was hell I'm still not ok. But my mother was very critical. It didn't help
I'm so glad you were proactive about looking for ways to do so! You will be great! There's a book I'm reading now called The Motherhood of Art...I think I mentioned it in the video. Worth a read for sure! Super encouraging! The biggest thing I'm learning is just that I have to adjust for each stage of my child.
My first two kids are going daycare (hooray!) but I have no idea how it will be after having my baby #3 next month..! Yes, I did ask the question to find this video!
