      Yes. Just right-click on the footage used. In my case it was NY-Skyline. Then choose replace selected footage. All the timelines where the footage was used will be replaced with the new video, so you will have to go through all the steps again.

      One question is that at about 4:59, the timeline Text Overlay was originally created with the New York scenic background without any of the text but how come it became the result as you created the timeline for the Text Black. Did you do something that was not shown on the screen? Thanks!

    • @alanlammusicpower
      @alanlammusicpower 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I finally figured out what I misunderstood after watched back and forth for many times. For those who may encounter the same problem as I did, unlike saving a project or document when we do for a file, we saved for what we had done. Creating a new timeline means really to start a new timeline, yet not saving the stuffs you have done in the previous timeline. Thanks!

      Thanks. Next to the values in the inspector window, there is a little diamond shape on the right side. Click the shape so it turns red. By doing this, you are placing a keyframe point. You will need more than one keyframe somewhere over the duration of the timeline to have animation.

One question on the bottom of your Davinci Resolve you have integrated your icons Google I see an envelope and other icons that you must use...how did you do that. I have a 21-inch screen and when I'm working in DR it takes my whole screen up and at times I have to close DR to get my icons Google, Itunes...etc. etc..Can you please advise thanks

      Sorry, I thought I had responded to this. Those are the taskbar icons in Windows 10. Very handy. You can right click on any program or desktop icon and select send to taskbar. There are also setting in the taskbar to set where , how and when they will be displayed. Right click in the taskbar area to make adjustment.

    • @DigitalVectorStudios
      @DigitalVectorStudios  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Make sure you are working on each timeline as mentioned in the video. You will know which timeline you are working on in the Edit Page, at the top center, there is a pull-down to select the timeline, but it also shows the active timeline, The order of the stack on the timeline is important. Try turning off the display icon on the left side on the timeline controls to solo each video track layer to make sure they are working properly.

    Quick question, why don't you ever use the fusion tab? I know it is a little more complicated, but you can do more with it...

    • @DigitalVectorStudios
      @DigitalVectorStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use it all the time, actually I started in Fusion a long time ago when I was looking for alternatives to the limitations of Abobe products (I still own CS6 Master Collection). My first purchase from Blackmagic was a Fusion 7 Studio dongle. Check out some of my other videos. For this video I was trying to demonstrate what can be done in Resolve without using nodes. One thing to note, if you are using Resolve 17 beta now, Blackmagic is putting more and more tools available to you in the Edit and Cut pages.

    HI, thanks for the video. Do you have any tips on how to get the text going slower? I am making a movie with more text and its a bit too fast to be readable. Thank you in advance.

    • @DigitalVectorStudios
      @DigitalVectorStudios  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the speed of the text moving from right to left is based on the number of frames set for the ending animation key. So around 2:00 into the video, I set the keys. I start the first key at time zero when the text is off the screen to the right. Then I move the text off the screen to the left at timeline point around 2:15. I was not happy ( it was too fast) so I showed how to move the key points on the timeline editor. I moved to key for when the text was off the screen to the left to about 3:15. Just move it further to something like 4:00 or more to really slow it down. Keep in mind all of the clip you use in the different timelines must be longer than 4 seconds to support this.
