    This thing is killer, I never had the old version, but things are fairly intuitive.
    I don’t have room for a drum kit, so this is my option.
    But it far exceeds any expectations. And for the price, so it should.
    But with Roland it’s a buy once cry once kinda deal. This will likely last me beyond my years.
    The Simmons stand works perfectly, for half the price. (Spent all my cash on this and pedals)
    Creating your own set is easy peasy.
    And just exploring the menus makes things come together pretty quick.
    And it’ll plug into a RC500. (Guitarist first)
    Got my pedals on order now.
    Call videos for letting even more!!
    Thanks

    Thanks for the informative video. Is it possible to use a fs6 / 7 foot switch with a Roland SPD SX drums as a kick & hihat pedal?

      Thanks so much! I believe it may work, but wouldn't be the same as using a dedicated kick pedal trigger

    The pad switching thing was exactly what I was looking for ... It's unbelievable that this basic and handy function from the previous model doesn't exist anymore, even though everything else has been a huge upgrade. Does anyone know more about switching easily between pads?

    • @DrumElectric
      @DrumElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that the Kit Chain function? As the new PRO definitely has that!

    • @momokdrums5350
      @momokdrums5350 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DrumElectric No, I had the same problem as you were saying in the video, just being able to switch between pads when editing them without having to actually physically trigger the pads (04:53). But it still seems that there's no real solution for that without using the multi view thing, right?

    I'm loving my SPDSX Pro, but i'm new to MIDI and having the worst time trying to use the SPDSX Pro with the Bandhelper app to load tempos and change kits. Do you have a crash course anywhere that might help me understand how to use MIDI on the SPDSX pro for beginners? Your videos are so easy to understand and helpful.

    • @DrumElectric

      This is a great question, and something I'll definitely work on as I don't yet! What sort of thing would you like to see - A general overview on how to start with MIDI specifically using the SPD-SX PRO? Feel free to throw any ideas my way and I'll get on it!

      @@DrumElectric beyond basic inputting, how does one know if the SPDSX PRO is receiving messages? How do you know what messages change what? For example, I’d like to send a kit change message from the BandHelper app to the SPDSX PRO, so when I select a song in the app it changes to the appropriate kit on the PRO, but I don’t know what number message the PRO reads as a kit change. I don’t even know if the PRO uses a 0-127 numbering or a 1-128. Things like that…

    an you connect a looper pedal and plug it into the expression input and live loop a sample that way?

    Harry, I copied a sample from one of the kits to a user kit and the sample is there but the effects did not copy over is that how it is and you have to add your reverb … to it or did I do something wrong?

    • @DrumElectric
      @DrumElectric  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Strange! This isn’t something I’ve encountered before and I have a feeling it’s because the effects don’t copy per single sample. I think you’d have to copy the whole kit over to include effects (but I could be wrong!)

  • @RobAbfallDrums
    @RobAbfallDrums 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If I copy the kit over to another pad then all the effects transfer over but not when I copy just one sample

    Great video , Thank you.
    I have a question.
    If you hit the pads with your hands does it comes a sound?
    I want to use it as percussions playing with my hands.
    I believe it has a sensitivity adjustment that can make that possible.

    • @DrumElectric
      @DrumElectric  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does work like this yes, but I would look at a hand percussion trigger specifically for the most reliability

    Can you assign mute groups between kits? I know mute groups work within the SAME patch. I have more than nine loops to run and currently need to hit all sounds off after switching to a new patch. Seems like Roland dropped the ball on that. (I also don't have the luxury of a consistent set list to link loops in any order.)

    • @DrumElectric
      @DrumElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      From my knowledge, not that I know of unfortunately! My first thought would be assigning it to a mute group, and that same mute group on a different patch would mute them all. But I can’t confirm! Have you got an SX-PRO to try it on?
