Hii i have done the same done on my Jetta.. and shall do it again when Thar arrives. By the i suggest you should get 70mai RVM dash cam along with Hardwire kit. It is very handy since irvm doesnt give a good rear vision due to the huge sparewheel

I have got it done on my Honda wrv windshield ..the advantages which u have mentioned r very true.. But the only disadvantage is during night drive the visibility from inside out also reduces. Other wise the products protects u very well..

Nah, it doesn't really reduce night visibility. In fact, it reduces the high beam torture that we have to daily go through due to the illiterate public spamming high beams all the time.

Hi Shyam, CarPlay is working perfectly, but Bluetooth, volume goes up and down

mvd said any film would affect safety where the glass should shatter into pieces and if anything is put on the glass, they will fine and also scratch it off. they do it really and have seen badly damaged film removal!!
I got my new jeep compass filmed with crystalline 70 all over including the sun roof and front windshield . Cost me 46,000 rs. It’s expensive but worth every penny. I stay in vizag which has very hot weather. I had the same film on my previous vehicle 5 years back. An S cross. That time it cost me 27,000. Worth it!!!

Hi Kishore ji, how is your experience from the CR70 film? I recently got it done for my i20 . Cost me similar to what you mentioned. However I am not fully convinced its as good as advertised specially for that price. So thought of checking with some one using it. Love from Kolkata 🙏
Hi Souvik, i have done for my. Vento last year, costed around similar, in extreme chennai weather I. Am. Not seeing much heat reduction, cant really measure of its worth or not. Even I am a Confused owner opted for CR70

My experience with 3M has been disappointing. I got windshield film done for heat reduction. But it actually makes the cabin hotter! It only helps in night driving by cutting glare.

For 31k - mahindra can offer official green tint glass for sides and back as accessories. No police problem, fully legal..... Manufacturers atleast give ir heat rejection glass as accessory

It’s better to invest a bit more and opt for Dark green UV cut glass rather than shelling out 31k on a piece of tint.

Lol! 🤣 you cant get them if the manufacturer doesn't make it . Its only possible in car which have models already having uv cut glass. Also regular 30% tints are available for 5-6k ! These are ceramic ( its a name ) tints from 3m they already cost so much in US cause they are the best. People having bmw and other cars use them all the in us because they have very high heat rejection without having dark tints ! 30% ceramic is close to 60% normal tints
Cr 70 vlt is 70 and H.r is 50....other than 3m offer Vlt vs hr ratio higher .....for reference nearest alternative to cr70 windscreen is Garware top of the line "ice cool shield" vlt 70 hr49. But quality wise 3m is better , longitivity life shell is higher in cr70. Budget wise Garware better , another dilemma no film nearest to cr50 performance ...its vlt 50 hr56.....even Garware vlt 40 can achieve 52hr

For that 31k is expensive... Because if you install sunflim also vehicle I'll have higher cabin temperature due to it's color and hard top plastic..... My opinion is not advisable....

As of 3M CR series when compared to Garware,
Garware output is 35 percent heat rejection for 70 percent visible tint while CR70 gives 50 percent at the cost of more than double. If you want best tint performance, then CR70 is the best.

If those cops follow rules strictly please ask them how much percentage is legal, I am sure most of them won't be able to answer it because even they don't know they just make you pay fine on their judgement,
According to central motor vehicle section 100 act [6] (2) "The glass of the wind screen and rear window of every motor vehicle shall be such and shall be maintained in such a condition that the visual transmission of light is not less than 70%. The glasses used for side windows are such and shall be maintained in such condition that the visual transmission of light is not less than 50% and shall conform to Indian Standards 5 IS: 2553-Part 2-1992;"
But what most of these cops do is fine you when they want and they won't even listen to you when you try to reason them even thos when you are not even wrong,
I am saying this because the fine for window tint is 10k which is not a small amount and instead of properly testing the tint with the tint tester (the one showed in this video) they will just fine you on their judgement, doesn't matter if you are wrong or not,
So please I'll say it again ask one when when you get chance that what is the legal percentage on tint (most of them won't be able to give you an proper anwer but still they are making people pay fine).

31k is too much for only 58% heat rejection, i have done in my ertiga with 76% heat rejection in 8k and its working well and worth it.

It is illegal to put any films on car glasses as per a 2012 ruling from Supreme Court of India. You need special permission from the Home Ministry to do that or in case if you have Z/Z+ security, that's why most of the ministers have black glasses. The police maintains the right to impound your vehicle as well as break your car glasses. It has happened with me once in Delhi, the police literally scratched it off and broke the rear glass plus i had to pay a hefty fine. By default the car glass lets in 85-90% light and by law they cannot go below 70% for windshield and 50% for other glasses. Instead of a film, car glass manufacturers like St. Gobain and Asahi India make custom safety glasses which can prevent heat and UV to come in, but it will cost you 80-90K at minimum.
Hi Vikram, I understand, but the 3M film that I have used CR 70 which allows more than 70% light. In fact I don’t feel any change after the installation

If its clear and transparent, then no prob.3M sunfilms CR70 and RE70 (25 to 30% tint)are barely noticeable at all.
Law was introduced to prevent crimes in dark tinted cars.
If cops start targeting transparent sunfilms like these then just ask them this question on why the law was introduced.
Then a rider wearing a monkey cap should be a helmet according to their stupid logic.
Don't push your luck with 50% tints though.
what i have heard that in event of an accident/impact , these sheets wont allow the glass to shatter properly into chips , which could be a hazard and hinder rescue operations. Dont know how much is true ... wont like to hear more opinions on this..
