- Join Stephanie and I as we travel from Las Vegas Nevada to the Grand Canyon. We took an all day bus tour that started in Las Vegas and then stopped off at the Hoover Dam and Seligman Arizona along the historic Route 66 before making our way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We had such a great time on this trip. Have you every visited the Grand Canyon?

i remember going on this tour from vegas. Amazing, i must go back, it was burning up in vegas by the time we got the canyon it was raining, freezing and foggy. we couldnt see anything.

Loved this vlog of you and Stephanie! It brought back fun memories of when I brought my daughter to Vegas for her 21st birthday! We also took this trip but we flew over the Grand Canyon in a 7 passenger cessna airplane! The pilot looked at us when we got in and he knew we were from NOLA and said I bet yall never thought you'd be flying over the Grand Canyon with a coonass from Baton Rouge! Haha it was beautiful but a little scary! Glad yall had a great time!

The Grand Canyon is incredible. It's tough to explain it to people who've never seen it because it does seem to go on forever and forever.
It really is so vast and you can't capture it in videos.
I remember when the Highway ran across the top of the Dam. Parking was on both sides of the Dam just under some statues of Winged Men. And you could walk across it. I also remember when they would put a Real Christmas Tree in that old car (most likely not the same old car) and by summer the tree was nothing but the Skeleton of the tree but the tinsel and some Christmas balls where still on it. Such memories from the late sixties.

Went on possibly the exact same tour you did about six years ago. While it was amazing to see the Canyon and the dam (and I would definitely love to see them again), next time I'll likely just rent a car and forego the tour. It was rough getting up so early, only to wait at the terminal for a couple of hours, and the drive back was far too long by bus.
It was a long trip. However we did enjoy the time together. I also had time to edit some videos along the way too.

Back in my early 20’s, my boyfriend and I flew out to LA from Philly (where we lived) to buy a car off of Craig’s list. It was a 1986 Suzuki Samurai of all things lol! We wanted to do a road trip across the country and that’s how we decided to do it. Lucky for us the car was exactly like the guy described and made the 3,000 mile trip with only minor issues. We ended up driving along the south rim of the Grand Canyon on our way back to Pa. I have wanted to go back ever since and see more of it.

The South Rim is beautiful. If you stay at Bright Angel Lodge, ask the folks at check-in if they have any Phantom Ranch openings, we were able to get a cabin that way. Would recommend hiking down South Kaibab trail (pack lots of water), and up Bright Angel the next day. Bring ice cleat spikes for shoes, flashlights, and hiking sticks. The mule rides are fun but scary to me and a little painful, I prefer to hike.

Hello, I really liked your video, I will be in Las Vegas next month, I would like to know how much the guides normally charge for a simple visit to the Grand Canyon, which of the Canyons is not allowed to take your own camera to take photos?
I think I’m going to visit the South Rim GC when I visit Las Vegas in late March, but I think I’m going to rent a car and drive. I also want to do a day trip to Zion NP.

It's like it was meant to be!! I am a faithful viewer and watch your live streams over and over.(I know It's weird to do that, right?) You and Stephanie are the most lovely couple. I have been researching places to vacation this year other than WDW. We will return next year but needed a change for our 40th anniversary. I think my favorite part of this whole video was the music! Great job. I drove through Seligman Arizona with my 20-something year-old daughter, who didn't want to be going to the Grand Canyon, and as we drove out of town, she just sighed and said, "now that we've made it through Radiator Springs!"
