That looks quite expensive! I'm glad to hear though the the views from the skywalk are really cool though, so I could see myself spending the money to go there instead of spending anything on the casinos in Vegas. The frybread taco looked amazing! I remember having something similar in South Dakota several years ago, and I really enjoyed it.
Chris, I haven’t seen your videos in at least 5 years and then you came up. You are my favorite travel vlogger and now you have a kid. It’s so great to see you again, and congratulations on being a father!
thank you so much for this video..we just came from our Vegas-Arizona trip, & it went smoothly. We enjoyed it as we knew what to expect thanks to the detailed information here. we weren't able to go through the skywalk as the line was long that day, but we still had fun, & honestly , we thought afterwards it wasnt a big loss as the Hualapai point gave a panoramic view of the Canyon. It was great!
Greetings from the Philippines! Thank you Chris for this video. This video brings back memories. The Skywalk is an experience! We went there December 2018.
Since you recorded this several months ago,I was curious to ask this: how do you decide WHAT gets released WHEN? In other words, why were some of the videos from this late 2023-very early 2024 videos released almost immediately and others have been sprinkled occasionally ever since (like, what about this material had you leaving it until now to release it?…mind you, not complaining in the slightest! I’m just really curious about your process!)
Thanks for the question Ed. Next week's live stream is going to be more about my process.. honestly that's how long it's taken to edit this video. I'm working through this Tri Canyon series at a rate of about 1 per week.. and yes.. with other videos sprinkled in that are more time critical because they are seasonal.
Chris, I'd be interested to know how you compare the views, beauty, etc. of Grand Canyon West to the aesthetics of the Grand Canyon National Park around the South Rim Visitors Center. I haven't yet had a chance to visit GCNP, though I'm sure I will at some point. I did visit Grand Canyon West as a day trip during a Vegas vacation about 10 years ago. We did a package tour that included bus transportation and helicopter rides to the bottom of the canyon and back, with a short cruise on the river. The Skywalk was an option that we declined after being thoroughly satisfied with the views we had from the copters and from the peaks at Guano Point.
Thank you for this! I’m visiting my husband working in Vegas next week and he gets one day off, meaning this is our only option for the Grand Canyon. I was weary because of other bad reviews. We aren’t going to want to do any of the extras, and you couldn’t pay me to get on the skywalk, so for just the entrance fee I’m looking forward to it!!
Yeah. I think most of the "bad reviews" are from the Skywalk price/experience.. so if you're just going in for the views and ambience of the canyon should be great. Go early to avoid the crowds
Thanks for this video Chris. Planning my Arizona trip in December and wanted to do this, but didn't realize how expensive it was. Always love your videos!
I took the steam train ride to the southern area of the gran canyon a few years ago. Really recommend checking it out. Came with a cowboy show and an amazing view.
Very informative Chris! I totally I agree more of a bucket list and go once I actually won a raffle to stay overnight in the cabins all expenses paid which was cool!
I did this back in 2021, I eloped to Vegas with my now husband and we drove to Arizona to do the Skywalk. It’s not for the feint of heart 😅 My anxiety had and has never been so bad 😂😂😂
I loved my trip to skywalk. We definitely were one of the very first people there, and we had all the time we wanted almost by ourselves and guano point. We must’ve spent 45 minutes walking around that viewpoint. It was incredible. I highly recommend this trip for Vegas visitors all priced very fairly. Also think of the money you would have spent on the strip if you hadn’t made a day trip to the Grand Canyon.
Hey Chris! I have been wanting to visit this place too but I know my hubby would balk at the price for three of us. For a one time visit though, I would pay the money.
Hi Thank you for this amazing video. My family and I will be visiting Vegas in a few weeks, and we are planning a day trip to the Grand Canyon via a bus tour. We are confused about which option to select-either the west rim or the south rim. Both look great, but I wanted to know which one you would recommend for our first visit.
Day trip from Vegas I'd do West because it's closer.. 2.5 hours each way instead of 4 hours each way.. if you were going to overnight I'd do the South rim
Chris, please tell me more about Hualapai point. Can I see Grand Canyon west from hualapia point? Or it is just cabin and restaurant? I will probably reach there on a Sunday afternoon around 5 pm. Thanks for your advice.
Busses Are free inside both Grand Canyon West and Grand Canyon National Park.. just need to pay the normal admission. At the National Park you can drive your car in. Here you can't
$150 per person! is not bad for you because looks like you just paid for yourself but imagine a family of 4 or 5 last time i heard about this place someone told me is overpriced and not really amazing
Funny how you arent allowed to take your own phone out there to take your own photos.....but you can buy "professional" photos! I did it and wouldnt buy the photos on principal...
Believe me Chris, it gives me no pleasure to say this, but: ‘People’ who run the Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk need to get a much BIGGER heart. As it is, the place is a total tourist ripoff, offering an extremely unpleasant experience. One of the absolute worse travel adventures of my entire life. 😔
Ah. Sorry to hear your experience was so bad.. I will definitely say that I didn't appreciate them snapping at me in the locker room. So yes. I agree. They could for sure use more heart

Awesome! Welcome back! And thanks 😊
the rafting expedition is the best way to see the canyon

Awesome Angel! Sorry you weren't able to make the Skywalk!
Anything you see at the Grand Canyon is spectacular. I enjoyed Mather Point at the South Rim. Greetings from Perth, Western Australia.
Many thanks!
I love your videos and great explanations! Thanks a lot!
Happy to hear that! Thanks!
Stunning! Grand Canyon is on my bucket list! And great overview as usual! 😀👍
thank you for this review! I had no idea it is not part of the grand canyon national park and didn't know about the costs. That was very helpful!
You're welcome! It's definitely a different experience 😀
Strong work! Thank you! Taking the family tomorrow.
Have fun!

Hi Ronnie! Glad to bring back some good memories!

I have an upcoming video just to compare the two places 😀
Thank you for the info.

Thanks Kalyee. Yeah. It's expensive
I’m heading there next week so this video is perfect timing!
Hope you enjoy it!
Me and my wife were both pretty stunned by the prices. That’s expensive. Seems like they charge you at every point.
Yeah.. it is expensive
Hi Chris. Thanks for the great video. The zip line looks like a fun activity to do. Take care.
Thanks James!
Thank you for a video full of useful information.
Glad it was helpful!
On our bucket list. Thanks for the info + video!
Any time!
I took the steam train ride to the southern area of the gran canyon a few years ago. Really recommend checking it out. Came with a cowboy show and an amazing view.
Neat! Thanks for the tip on the train!
Good informative video
Thanks preetthas!
Looks amazing. Fancy the zip line

Great video thanks. I am going to try to las vegas this coming summer
Have fun!
Thanks for the informative video...despite a few Debbie Downers that leave negative comments, it's mostly positive people who like the video.
Could you please share where to buy the tickets from? Thank you!

Yeah. I figure as a once in a lifetime thing sure it's expensive.. but memorable 😀
Are the lines crazy in july? Also the lines to take the shuttlebus?
Would have liked to seen more of the skywalk
Love your review: I couldn’t find address to go
Hi
Thank you for this amazing video.

Zion and GCW are similar driving distance from Vegas and I much rather go to Zion.
You should do a video on Zion as well.
Agreed. I have a video on Zion here: th-cam.com/video/7AcAw1DlSKQ/w-d-xo.html
Chris, please tell me more about Hualapai point. Can I see Grand Canyon west from hualapia point? Or it is just cabin and restaurant? I will probably reach there on a Sunday afternoon around 5 pm. Thanks for your advice.
Hualapai Point is restaurant, cabin, shops, and a short hiking trail.. not really a great place to see Canyon itself
@@YellowProductions thanks
Love the videos! YP 4L
Thank you sir, very informative without any fluff. I want a taco 🌮
So nice of you!
Thanks for this video - I'll put this on my "Not worth it list" ZNP is 10x better.
Is there military discount?
I don't think so.. or if there is one it's relatively insignificant
Is the road payed all the way?
How much is the bus inside Grand Canyon? Can we drive our car with we want? Thank u🥰
Busses Are free inside both Grand Canyon West and Grand Canyon National Park.. just need to pay the normal admission. At the National Park you can drive your car in. Here you can't
Thank you for sharing nice video.👍👍👍👍
I the $50 entrance fee per head or per car?
Per person
Are you related to Andy Jassy? Lot of resemblance 😅
Not that I'm aware of :)
Total rip-off!
Why are you watching this video...try to get out the house more...if you're not a traveler, then don't watch the video...!!
It is probably worth a third of that quoted price! Total rip off with overpriced things.
I wouldn't mind taking a helicopter ride.
Very expensive
$150 per person! is not bad for you because looks like you just paid for yourself but imagine a family of 4 or 5
last time i heard about this place someone told me is overpriced and not really amazing
Indeed.. the Disney of the Grand Canyon 😀
Funny how you arent allowed to take your own phone out there to take your own photos.....but you can buy "professional" photos! I did it and wouldnt buy the photos on principal...
Indeed
$75 and an hour wait?! Hard pass.
imagine if you take a family of 4 plus the food which is expensive and simple
Believe me Chris, it gives me no pleasure to say this, but: ‘People’ who run the Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk need to get a much BIGGER heart. As it is, the place is a total tourist ripoff, offering an extremely unpleasant experience. One of the absolute worse travel adventures of my entire life. 😔
Ah. Sorry to hear your experience was so bad.. I will definitely say that I didn't appreciate them snapping at me in the locker room. So yes. I agree. They could for sure use more heart
$75 to scare yourself to death!😂
Total rip off i ent going there in thousand years without my camera 📷..no way
This sounds like a total “paved paradise tourist trap”. Sounds very “Vegas” to me! Only thing that’s missing is the wax museum! No thanks!
Hah.. yes. A wax museum. What a good idea! 😀
Me thinks........uh........let me see........er...........TOTAL RIP OFF!
what a fkn rip off never!
As others say, each thing you mentioned is too expensive. Bonus crazy is putting everything in a locker!🤔😳🫤
Great video though, thanks 🙂
Would have liked to seen more of the skywalk
