Ab-Fab! Good times, by the look of things. I do love those big WW1 kites, they look wonderful lofting about the sky, though the landings look lie being something of a handful! Thanks again Pete, Cheers, Dougal
I was wondering with the wing warping what is the breaking point on the wing and what have you done to eliminate it ? also I thought the pilot could do with a cushion under him [just an observation ] very nice job anyway thank you
Thanks Pete, first ever I've seen a close up of wing warping, what a rigging nightmare!! A great effort effort on your part for bringing this to light for all of us!!
thanks jeff, i was supprissed as well on the wing warping, one model used a 25 kg servo and the other model a 12 kg servo to operate the warping, both worked well - pete
Brilliant WW1 planes they are! I know I've said it before but I love al the different designs, wing configurations and paint schemes, beautiful! As always, excellent camerawork and stills to bringing us there with you! Two thumbs up and Cheers lads!
In this video there is a storic biplane, the SVA (Savoia Verduzio Ansaldo) of Gabriele D'Annunzio!!! Beautiful model, this is the first model that i see!!!
Very nice! I love the videos with multiple planes in the air. At 1:00 in the video, was that a Flair Magnatilla? There were no ailerons so it looked like the plane would have it's "roll control" via those control lines torqueing the wing. That was neat!!!
Terrific video as expected when you post them, mate. You and Horst are the premier presenters of this great hobby. Nice close in shot of that Fokker Eindecker with actual wing warping on the ground early one. I only have two thumbs, but they're both up in the raised position!
many thanks for your comments bill much appreciated, if your interested there is another video on my channel of a wing warping eindecker that i filmed at elvington recently - heres the link - enjoy - pete, GIANT 1:2,5 SCALE FOKKER E.1 EINDECKER AT LMA RAF ELVINGTON - 2014
Wow! That was really fantastic! Must have been incredible to watch this in person. I don't know if I could concentrate so long flying my plane in a bunch of others like that. Were the instructions to other pilots "just follow the black/white stripe tri-wing"?
hi alan thanks for your comments, usually one selected member of the team or even a spotter behind the pilots shouts out flight orders as they fly, it takes a lot of concentration to fly close together as you can imagine, but every pilot has a spotter behind them advising them of flight instructions or obsticals in their way or the proximity of other aircraft because i reckon they might get tunnel vision when just concentrating on their own model and not see other things around them, sorry to prattle on but hope this helps - pete,
Great to see, thanks... Loving the authentic wing-warp controls.
thanks slim

The eindeckers with the wing warping were fantistic, true skill in building and flying those .. thanks for posting the video
thanks reggie
