I played at launch. Formed up 100 fusion cores (You got them from pvp defending public locations at the time). When to give my friend half of them and the bag I dropped down for him fell through the map.

You should watch The Engoodening of No Man's Sky from him. This Fall of 76 is his 2nd best video on channel and the no man's sky one is his actual best

New Vegas would be ideal, 4 is mechanically fine but it needs mods to make certain NPCs tolerable.
