Revelation, the route where Lilith and the awakening trio reveal nothing
I think it’s worse in Birthright, where all three of the awakening characters will actively fight Corrin and try to kill them, and Laslow can even die fighting Corrin’s Army, in spite of the one thing they’re supposed to be doing in Fateslandia being helping Corrin.
@@samkeiser9776 Thus proving they were literally brought back for fanservice and slapped into the story poorly due to it.

it makes me wonder what the odds are in 10 or so years of a remake of the game adding in the missing pieces... or at least a good chunk.
People complain about Azura but man at least she was trying those three act as if they don't know shit lmao.
I love paying 20 dollars for the DLC, where Lilith never tells you what’s going on, and the awakening trio does absolutely nothing to convince the nohrian nobles that something bad is happening

So when Flora in Birthright tries to kill herself - everyone besides Felicia is sitting like muppets and does nothing.
When Hinata, Oboro, Saizo, Kagero, Effie, Arthur, Peri or Laslow are greviously wounded in C/B - nobody cares and they're forgotten about.
When Elise gets sliced like a bread - who cares, she's not playable.
When Xander is bleeding after a battle - it's fine, let him die.
When Scarlet gets hit by one fireball and might still be alive - nobody even tries to save her.
When Arete, Mikoto and Sumeragi are wounded from battle - nobody bothers healing them.
When Ryoma impales himself and and seemingly dies - let him, Conquest is supposed to be difficult.
...
When Gunter impales himself and seemingly dies - everyone goes apeshit and does everything in their power to save him and it works.
Man, i love Fates narrative.

There is a certain scene in Persona 3 where the situation could be avoided by the characters simply using healing abillities story wise, yet they don't because.... Plot
What the fuck did Scarlet do to the fates writers to make them want to murder her in the worst of ways in 2 out of the 3 routes?
Her existence made the writers so mad that steam was coming out of their ears.

the Reason for fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligents Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Intelligent Systems wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Nintendo knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.
I wish killing Anthony was set up the same way as killing Shura in Conquest

I love and hate this game, it felt more like a punishment than a challenge when I beat all the dlc, but your videos makes me want to play again...I won't but the option is there :D

Anankos greatest spell is to make people playing Ironman believe they are playing Shadow Dragons so more of their units die. 🎲 :D
I honestly wish there was a mod that removed all the dialogue and the storyline from the game cause they gameplay is the only thing it has going for it.

@@lenlen8417 lol yeah Conquest's story has to bend over backwards to justify most maps. The Kitsune map is one that really gets me.

And then Corrin proceeds to slaughter them all in return, unlike every other chapter in the game where you kill people non-lethally.
Oh god and the Ryoma chapter 😭. "Corrin you son of a bitch. You killed my family and now you die! Oh, but I will wait patiently for my revenge now that you're standing right in front of me."
Love the design of that chapter, mind you. The narrative is just genuinely so bad its funny.
@@lenlen8417not do defend The garbage story or anything, but The reason why it was obvious for us that it was azura îs because she looks very anime and it's easy to spot her. But în reality, sometimes you have trouble noticing a friend of yours wearing glassess or a small mask
so *this* is what led up to the DLC where Anankos isekais all the child units into Valla...
At least the *non lethality* is justified better in this route

This is almost exactly how I concluded my first Fates playthrough, except it wasn't an ironman and I never finished because I was so mad that I missed and somehow deleted the save file. I still haven't finished a Fates playthrough because now my DS is dead and I don't care enough to either fix my DS or get an emulator...

Fates is actually one of my favorite games… I love the story and characters… I thought all three routes were really fun… everyone else hates it
It’s an okay game in a vacuum, but since it’s slapped right between the powerhouse that is Awakening, and the decent but sometimes odd Gaiden remake, it’s immediacy pretty ass.
I personally like it cause it has imo the strongest class customization in the series and it adds decent replay value through that, but the story truly is garbage.
The story îs awful tho.

God, I think this might be the only Fire Emblem that is oppressively bad. There's bad Fire Emblem games, then there's just having a horrendous game.
Fates at least has decent gameplay and cool characters the worst would probably be gaiden
@@dadsback69cool characters? I mean most of them are one noted with no real personality cursed with only some repetitive and bland supports. The there are characters like azura who îs an exposition bot, xander and ryoma who the game portrays them as idiots, etc. As for The gameplay, it's mediocre în birthright and revelations, and only great on conquest thanks to The fair and engaging challenge and also unique and gimmicky maps. But it doesn't help that conquest has The worst story of the three.
@@mihaimercenarul7467 when I say cool characters I mean that in the most basic sense as in the characters are cool from a design perspective and have cool character traits for the most part. In all honesty I think a couple have wasted potential that could've made them some of the best characters in a game that was better written than fates.

Frankly, I don't get all the hate for revelations, I personally liked it a lot. But hearing your comedic disdain quips was still funny.
Horrible maps and gimmicks, snow shoveling, awful story that reveals almost nothing and îs just a golden route for The children to be happy "yaaaaaay everyone lives yaaay happy times." Not to mention The awful designed maps with unfair difficulty unlike conquest. The only thing that îs ok I guess îs that you have all The units from conquest and birthright to play with, that's fine I guess.

The music of fates is pretty good but everything else is kinda shit
The gameplay, characters, art and most maps (mainly CQ) are great
The characters are very charismatic and have remarkable visuals. Three Houses also has those one dimensional characters and nobody complains, also, the cast in Three Houses has probably one of the most boring character desings of the series, thing that Fates has one of the best (no, i ain't hating 3H, i like it too)

@@Zerorenren4761nah The design of three houses characters îs great. It's simplistic and a little more realistic unlike the exaggerated anime designs of fates or awakening. Also at least three houses has characters with some development, great supports, voice acting and even flaws. Meanwhile all The characters in fates în supports are so cringe and bland. The supports în three houses are way more engaging, like Felix and sylvain, Ingrid and dedue, marianne and Dimitri, dedue and Dimitri, etc.
