Dr. Phil, this is SO helpful. Very descriptive of what I went through in an abusive relationship, especially the flooding. I've never heard this term before and it's just so perfect of a descriptor of how it felt. In the end, I chose flight, I'm not rolling around in the mud with a pig just because they like it, I do not and will not. But anyways, there are actually 4 primitive responses to abuse: flight, fight, freeze or fawn. I was, prior to just ending it, fawning and kinda collapsing under the weight of his episodes. This happens too
I love this relationships series. Very well done. I like how you acknowledge you have a relationship with yourself. That's a key insight I had too. You gotta have a great relationship with yourself. And then you can be a good relation to others. I like to say personal development is a prerequisite to interpersonal development.

Definitely Doctor Phil , when you are in a relationship you need to give 100 % { add to this that a relationship is like a business but obviously 100 % + 100 % from both sides for same goal-? }
I think it is a long video and perhaps Doctor Phil's producer gave Doctor Phil a little bit of a change and it's good to take a break from doing the same thing , I think it is done for Doctor Phil's mental wellbeing 🙂
Flight. Most people in their life have stepped in it, smelled it, and scraped it off the bottom of their shoe. The next steps are taken cautiously, aware that you have already stepped in it. Do I want to get down in roll in it, or fling it around to everyone in proximity? No. But verbal abuse from an alcoholic is like this, horrifying, contemptuous, disrespectful and reckless. There is no way to communicate or go forward with someone who is in active addiction. Flight.
Telling you dr phill I survived combat I survived addiction I survived many years of suicide attempts and not wanting to live we can do a show on improving veteran suicide I no all the ins and outs of what the core issue is and how we can solve this epidemic
Son she's going to beat you like a rented mule if you don't get it and you don't get it. A pancake is flat on both sides. Do you hear what I'm saying? Spin those yarns Phil and rake it that big money!

Fawning is typical of those raised by abusive as well as dangerously narcissistic parents

I couldn't find these assessments tests on the website. Have they been removed?
I could not find the notes and questions on the website. Where can I get the questions?

I can't find the tests on his site.
4:45 characteristics that predict divorce
45:06 infatuation phase (honeymoon phase) can’t last forever - and that’s a good thing.

This has to be a hack!
