I love that when they play the solo on Fifth, both Daryl and Mike layer the bass pedal sound on top of Tony’s right hand playing synth bass.
    Massive lows!

@Biorage Yep, I agree with you; Genesis were the apex in the use of the T pedals. Others used them, However, Genesis was the most effective and creative with them for sure. Sorry kids...

Excellent dude! Perfect song to display the simplicity and the overwhelming effect the Taurus had on a song! Back in the mid 70's I played drums only, however, by early 80's I wad able to add some keys to my swerve. The Taurus bass pedals were the 'je ne sais quoi' of Prog music. And an inspiration to me to get into electronics because most musicians did not possess the creativity to utilize these monsters properly... (and that's not to slam other musicians; they just did not understand the scope of what these and the Taurus ll could do.)

Simple, perfect illustration of the part. I've looked for something like this for a long time. Bravo!

That low bass really made this song pop. I remember wondering if Genesis could even continue without Peter at the head. This LP was proof that they indeed could (at least thru Wind & Wuthering, when Steve left and I lost interest in their move over to more commercial stuff.)

Mike started using the MOOG Taurus Pedals on Trick of the Tail album. Don't know what he used prior to that?

Do I see the camera vibrating from the sound?? I do love Taurus pedals and in my mind's eye I'm always envisioning stomping on them when I hear pieces like "Dance On A Volcano."

All that while playing guitar. Talk about limb independence. I’m a drummer and that seems like it would be hard to do.
