Cost too much preparation time. Thats why theres so many filler episodes. To buy time for the work that takes more effort. Bigger battles. With tv, you really have to hit the time lines. Now with subscription services it doesn't matter at all. We'll wait an eternity. Just like metroid prime 4. I could have had a kid and that kid have a kid at 18 between the time of metroid prime 3 and 4. I could be a grandpa by now.

@@DiamonDust well I would assume that Anbu are trained to resist genjutsu, so it would at least take a skilled user to put them under one, but is also a bit of a plot hole as we see Itachi put Kakashi, a former anbu, under genjutsu, but Kakashi doesn't off himself

That makes sense logically, but the thing I dislike about that explanation is that genjutsu resistance is very uncommon in Naruto, and even that resistance we have seen seems to only apply to visual genjutsu rather than sound genjutsu. IIRC the only ones who have been stated/shown to be resistant to visual genjutsu are Deidara (through training), Sharingan users, and Rinnegan users. Everyone else seems to get hit by the genjutsu first, and then dispel the genjutsu using the "release" handsign or disrupting their chakra some other way. If there was some easy way to train to resist genjutsu, you would think it would have come up with the Jiraiya training Naruto got to dispel genjutsu. Deidara's case is very weird writing wise. It's almost as if Deidara is the sole person who has been able to gain genjutsu resistance though training since that topic is never discussed much, but it's not like Deidara is that special. He's strong, but there are many characters who are stronger and more experienced, too. I guess you could say he was special because he hated Itachi and knew he had to train against genjutsu specifically very hard to win vs him... but you could say that for anyone who would train to fight Uchiha which should be many people in history. But yeah, I don't buy that there is some ANBU genjutsu training that even someone like Jiraiya or Kakashi who both trained Naruto in preparation for fighting Itachi would have known. I feel like in in universe genjutsu training consists of being able to sense a disturbance in your own chakra cause by the genjutsu to first identify you are within a genjutsu (if it's not obvious), then dispelling the genjutsu with your own chakra. Lastly in Kakashi's case that actually checks out that he would not have the mark. We have already seen Kakashi showing the skill needed to suppress Orochimaru's curse mark (perhaps the strongest curse mark ever), so I wouldn't be surprised if Kakashi had the skill to completely erase Danzo's curse mark (a far weaker one). Or if not him, Jiraiya or Minato would be up to the task and are both even better at sealing ninjutsu than Kakashi. Honestly I would just bank on Minato having erased it after Kakashi left the ANBU.

One thing I didn't like about the Sharingan, the goal post kept moving. Every. single. time an Uchiha starts to lose a fight, "ohoho, but you didn't count on my Dojutsu that's supposed to let me mimic your body language and cast genjutsu to rewrite reality itself!"
I think it was all pretty fair game for the most part, there were plenty of other equally OP powers that existed after all. The only Uchiha powers that I think went way too far were Izanagi and Izanami. They are just way too OP with little to no way to counter them unless you are light years stronger than the Uchiha using it. Obito basically cheated Konan out of a win through Izanagi, and Itachi used Izanami to solo Kabuto like he was trash lmao. Poor Kabuto thought he could compete with the Uchiha by blocking his own eyesight completely to avoid Magekyo genjutsu one shots, but then we get the Izanami asspull that doesn't even need visual contact to affect the opponent. He just had no chance at all from the beginning no matter what he did.
@@DiamonDustWhile your right in the both being OP the down sides and consequences are why their users don’t or can’t spam them like with Kotoamatsukami, Shisui has to wait 10 years to use it again and with Izanagi and Izanami you immediately go blind and lose your sharingan and access to its abilities including Susanoo if you had it. Tsunade’s Byakugou seal needs majority of the users chakra poured into for 3 years with the user having to keep a little for themselves to use to fight decently and Pain had a cooldown on most or all of his powerful abilities.
@@kosh3r-topic70 That 10 year cooldown is only for when the eye is transplanted into a person or creature that has neither Uchiha or Senju DNA. As we saw with Danzo, having the right DNA makes it so it can be used once per day (he blatantly says this). We never are told how often a Uchiha or Shisui could use it, but I would estimate that it is once per day - or perhaps even more often. Not much of a restriction at all for an ability that can win a fight instantly vs 99% of the verse. Yes, you go blind in one eye from Izanagi and Izanami. However, what are the consequences of that in the long run? Literally nothing. Obito used Izanagi, the eye went blind, and then he just slotted in a new eye lmao. In fact, it was a Rinnegan so he actually got an upgrade. The eye going blind is only a drawback if it was a sharingan eye that had a very powerful ability linked to it, but as we saw with Obito and Danzo you can just sacrifice random sharingan eyes rather than your own. Also, Uchiha that want EMS need to lose their original eyes anyway. Even if eyes couldn't be replaced that easily, those abilities are still horribly OP. Being able to beat almost anyone, just for the measly cost of one eyeball? That's stupid. Something that OP should be life sacrificing like the 8 gates. Izanagi should only be able to _delay_ death. an Izanami user should die after using it. If you make an OP jutsu that has little to no counterplay, it should gave that kind of death drawback. There's also the additional fact that someone like Guy trained his whole life to unlock the 8 gates, but Uchiha are essentially given these abilities through genetics rather than just hard work. It's not the best writing choice IMO. I'm pretty sure Kishimoto agrees, and that's why Izanagi and Izanami were never used by characters like Obito, Madara, or Sasuke or anyone in Boruto (to my knowledge).
@@kosh3r-topic70 Also, it's unclear if an EMS user retains their unique sharingan powers... but it seems like they do. Sasuke's Susano'o did not change to look like Itachi's when he took Itachi's eyes. What this seemingly implies is that if someone lose both eyes to Izanagi, they can just transplant two new eyes to unlock EMS and then get all of their specific sharingan abilities back (things like Kamui). There's also sage mode which can let you fight without any eyes at all while still using Susano'o as Madara displayed. There are so many ways to circumvent that "drawback", and in many cases it ends up not even being a drawback at all. It's never actually acted as a detriment to the person who used it, they always just got new eyeballs. I think unlocking Rinnegan also restores the blindness, too. Otherwise Madara's eyes would not function.
Technically Hiruzen was the most corrupted hokage. And Tsunade is an underrated hokage. She managed to keep the standards of the village even though that much of invasions. Pain's attack is the worst invasion of all time. It's scarier than the nine tails
Minato saved the village and Put the 9 tails in Naruto and all he asked was for the third hokage to care after him. Danzo isn’t the only one who is to blame for all these atrocities
Hiruzen was forced to lead through 3 world wars and rebuild after the 9 tails attack. Despite this the leaf remained the strongest village under his reign. Idk if id say he sucked
They were, and obviously mukai wouldn't have survived the grown-up versions of these two but it's worth noting that shisui and itachi, even as children were beating ANBU level shinobi. Plus, danzo sent two kids on a mission to subjugate a full grown adult shinobi, so he must have known that they could hold their own (he was incorrect, but still). The fact that he defeated those two, even back than, says a lot.

Exactly why I said for years why the hyuga absolutely SHOULD be the most powerful clan in the verse. The issue is that they are side characters, don’t bring in the money and would make the story very boring if they are just one shotting everyone. They are bred from birth to be taijustu specialist and can dispel ANY chakra based substance. That’s includes all your nature releases, all your susanoos, and basically all justu that isn’t some otutsuski bs. Plus they are immune to genjutsu💀(ocular) Only if kishimoto didn’t forget about them😂

@twanc156 True, the major issue is that the Hyguas are always looked up as the most powerful clan in Konoha. They even mentioned in the show a couple of times. Then Kakashi also mentioned that Byakugan is superior to the Sharingan, which is the biggest cap coming from someone who has access to the mangekyo. Even base Sharingan is good, and with the ability to help with Genjutsu, it is in on par with the Byakugan. We have never even seen Kage level hyugas. If they were powerful, Madara would have been a spooked seen the Hyugas when the alliance came to help Naruto. Hyugas are overrated and unecessarily praised. The only thing going for them is they are the decendants of the Hamura, that's it. They should have given the Byakugan some evolution like Sharingan but without the drawbacks of the mangekyo to show why they are more powerful than the Sharingan and on par with Mangekyo like this guy who can cut ninjutsu could be a byakugan evolution that Neji gets in Shippiden and maybe control their chakras system to easily break out of genjutsu like killer bee did against sasuke.
Both shisui & itachi was indeed still young back then,, but u need to remember tht either of them already joined anbu,,,, don't you recall back when itachi defeated an kunoichi anbu by himself? He was way younger (perharps still on chunin level). So yeah in this novel version both itachi & shisui were already at their prime. And mukai gave em a hard fight, using mangekyou to win a combat is a heavy toll,, so yeah we all can consider that this so called mukai was an A ranked shinobi
Back then, the title "Jounin" actually meant something, remember the 4 Sounds? Two Hidden Leaf Jounins actually gave them a run for their money, one spit out a toothpick and that toothpick clashed and killed the momentum of a kunai being thrown
Everyone keeps forgetting that a byakugan always beats a 3 tomoe sharingan, but people tend to forget cause more than half of the Uchiha in the show had a mangekyo sharingan
Mukai cut himself because of a jutsu placed on him by Danzo. If he were to fall under a genjutsu, he has to do it. It’s to ensure Danzo’s secrets don’t get out, kind of like the seal placed on ROOT members tongues in Shippuden. Also the fight revealed hyuga could’ve broke through tangible jutsus with their fists; kinda crazy it was never utilized in the main series.
I've always believed the byakugan is stronger than the sharingan. We never got to see its full potential in the anime because the hyuga were just a side clan to the main story line. Even in the infinite tsukuyomi there was that alternate story where a byakugan user was behind the akatsuki and he could teleport using his byakugan.
This is what makes naruto beautiful. It has a lot of stories from so many characters. Unlike boruto series who currently just show off the mc and shitting every character known in it's verse. Heck even the closest character to the mc felt like random npc now
He didn't kill himself out of his own will. Anbu shinobi have a curse seal on them that makes them kill themselves when they are put under any genjutsu, this was done to prevent information leaking out.
What if when shishui tapped into his mind he seen the truth about danzo therefore danzo wanted to kill shishui it makes sense being that itachi was also there and danzo didn’t try to kill him. Or that could just be he was scared of fugaku😂

One thing I didn't like about the Sharingan, the goal post kept moving. Every. single. time an Uchiha starts to lose a fight, "ohoho, but you didn't count on my Dojutsu that's supposed to let me mimic your body language and cast genjutsu to rewrite reality itself!"
I think it was all pretty fair game for the most part, there were plenty of other equally OP powers that existed after all. The only Uchiha powers that I think went way too far were Izanagi and Izanami. They are just way too OP with little to no way to counter them unless you are light years stronger than the Uchiha using it. Obito basically cheated Konan out of a win through Izanagi, and Itachi used Izanami to solo Kabuto like he was trash lmao. Poor Kabuto thought he could compete with the Uchiha by blocking his own eyesight completely to avoid Magekyo genjutsu one shots, but then we get the Izanami asspull that doesn't even need visual contact to affect the opponent. He just had no chance at all from the beginning no matter what he did.
@@DiamonDustWhile your right in the both being OP the down sides and consequences are why their users don’t or can’t spam them like with Kotoamatsukami, Shisui has to wait 10 years to use it again and with Izanagi and Izanami you immediately go blind and lose your sharingan and access to its abilities including Susanoo if you had it. Tsunade’s Byakugou seal needs majority of the users chakra poured into for 3 years with the user having to keep a little for themselves to use to fight decently and Pain had a cooldown on most or all of his powerful abilities.

@@kosh3r-topic70 That 10 year cooldown is only for when the eye is transplanted into a person or creature that has neither Uchiha or Senju DNA. As we saw with Danzo, having the right DNA makes it so it can be used once per day (he blatantly says this). We never are told how often a Uchiha or Shisui could use it, but I would estimate that it is once per day - or perhaps even more often. Not much of a restriction at all for an ability that can win a fight instantly vs 99% of the verse.
Yes, you go blind in one eye from Izanagi and Izanami. However, what are the consequences of that in the long run? Literally nothing. Obito used Izanagi, the eye went blind, and then he just slotted in a new eye lmao. In fact, it was a Rinnegan so he actually got an upgrade. The eye going blind is only a drawback if it was a sharingan eye that had a very powerful ability linked to it, but as we saw with Obito and Danzo you can just sacrifice random sharingan eyes rather than your own. Also, Uchiha that want EMS need to lose their original eyes anyway.
Even if eyes couldn't be replaced that easily, those abilities are still horribly OP. Being able to beat almost anyone, just for the measly cost of one eyeball? That's stupid. Something that OP should be life sacrificing like the 8 gates. Izanagi should only be able to _delay_ death. an Izanami user should die after using it. If you make an OP jutsu that has little to no counterplay, it should gave that kind of death drawback. There's also the additional fact that someone like Guy trained his whole life to unlock the 8 gates, but Uchiha are essentially given these abilities through genetics rather than just hard work. It's not the best writing choice IMO. I'm pretty sure Kishimoto agrees, and that's why Izanagi and Izanami were never used by characters like Obito, Madara, or Sasuke or anyone in Boruto (to my knowledge).
@@kosh3r-topic70 Also, it's unclear if an EMS user retains their unique sharingan powers... but it seems like they do. Sasuke's Susano'o did not change to look like Itachi's when he took Itachi's eyes. What this seemingly implies is that if someone lose both eyes to Izanagi, they can just transplant two new eyes to unlock EMS and then get all of their specific sharingan abilities back (things like Kamui). There's also sage mode which can let you fight without any eyes at all while still using Susano'o as Madara displayed. There are so many ways to circumvent that "drawback", and in many cases it ends up not even being a drawback at all. It's never actually acted as a detriment to the person who used it, they always just got new eyeballs. I think unlocking Rinnegan also restores the blindness, too. Otherwise Madara's eyes would not function.
Technically Hiruzen was the most corrupted hokage. And Tsunade is an underrated hokage. She managed to keep the standards of the village even though that much of invasions. Pain's attack is the worst invasion of all time. It's scarier than the nine tails

They were, and obviously mukai wouldn't have survived the grown-up versions of these two but it's worth noting that shisui and itachi, even as children were beating ANBU level shinobi. Plus, danzo sent two kids on a mission to subjugate a full grown adult shinobi, so he must have known that they could hold their own (he was incorrect, but still). The fact that he defeated those two, even back than, says a lot.

The issue is that they are side characters, don’t bring in the money and would make the story very boring if they are just one shotting everyone.

@twanc156 True, the major issue is that the Hyguas are always looked up as the most powerful clan in Konoha. They even mentioned in the show a couple of times. Then Kakashi also mentioned that Byakugan is superior to the Sharingan, which is the biggest cap coming from someone who has access to the mangekyo. Even base Sharingan is good, and with the ability to help with Genjutsu, it is in on par with the Byakugan. We have never even seen Kage level hyugas. If they were powerful, Madara would have been a spooked seen the Hyugas when the alliance came to help Naruto. Hyugas are overrated and unecessarily praised. The only thing going for them is they are the decendants of the Hamura, that's it. They should have given the Byakugan some evolution like Sharingan but without the drawbacks of the mangekyo to show why they are more powerful than the Sharingan and on par with Mangekyo like this guy who can cut ninjutsu could be a byakugan evolution that Neji gets in Shippiden and maybe control their chakras system to easily break out of genjutsu like killer bee did against sasuke.

He was way younger (perharps still on chunin level). So yeah in this novel version both itachi & shisui were already at their prime. And mukai gave em a hard fight, using mangekyou to win a combat is a heavy toll,, so yeah we all can consider that this so called mukai was an A ranked shinobi

Mukai cut himself because of a jutsu placed on him by Danzo. If he were to fall under a genjutsu, he has to do it. It’s to ensure Danzo’s secrets don’t get out, kind of like the seal placed on ROOT members tongues in Shippuden. Also the fight revealed hyuga could’ve broke through tangible jutsus with their fists; kinda crazy it was never utilized in the main series.
To be fair this was a battle famous ninja versus two child prodigies. Was a great part of Itachi’s light novel

I've always believed the byakugan is stronger than the sharingan. We never got to see its full potential in the anime because the hyuga were just a side clan to the main story line. Even in the infinite tsukuyomi there was that alternate story where a byakugan user was behind the akatsuki and he could teleport using his byakugan.

He didn't kill himself out of his own will. Anbu shinobi have a curse seal on them that makes them kill themselves when they are put under any genjutsu, this was done to prevent information leaking out.
