@@EmeraldHill-vo1cs Just because you don't understand or see it, doesn't mean it isn't true. The CO2 adds some carbonation like soda, but it also helps to give it a whipped creamy texture.
Maybe you could dispense the slushie into a soda stream bottle to add carbonation yourself, it probably wouldn't be exactly the same but might add a bit of the bubbly.

Great review! I love mine and use it a ton. I thought the price seemed high as well for a Ninja machine until I looked on amazon for others. Vevor makes a single and a dual tank version that is comparable. The single tank version is $490 and the dual tank version is $750. My experience with other Vevor products has been awful at best. I will absolutely spend $300 on this Ninja branded machine long before spending much more on a much worse brand.
I don't think I'd get this myself but if I did a lot of parties or cookouts it would be appealing. Having friends over to grill with frozen margaritas sounds like a blast.
You should take the mixture from the frappe and freeze it and then put it in the Ninja Creami? I think that is what it is called and then make ice cream from it.
Saw your review on Friday and purchased one from Walmart that evening it was $50 off as well, got it this morning and have already made slushies three times for the family. It works very well.
For me that would still be value at the $300 mark, but I'm going to wait to see if I can snag it at a lower price point during black friday. Also if someone has a small business imagine the improvement to morale adding an in house frappe machine.
So James is starting his own slushie business, you'll kill em with the afternoon margaritas! I'd hate to think of the power bill you must be rackin up. Cheers.
Now there was a guy on another TH-cam channel he did a review on it and what he noticed on the inside of that container there's a small little crevice that builds up whatever you're making and it's actually impossible to clean it out he has directed his toward the ninja company and basically all they just said to him is we're going to have our are tech people look into it. He then said that he most likely believes that the company will not redesign the product because they've already sold hundreds if not thousands of that model already. But before I seen your review james, the other person said he really liked this ninja slushie and it does all that it claims.
I was wondering when you'll do that Ninja Slushi review when you were mentioning that Icee product recently! Happy to see you got your hands on this to do a review.
I had to clean the commercial versions of those things. They got cold fast, but they also took forever to disassemble and put back together after being cleaned. I got so good at it, it would take me 25 mins from disassembly to clean to back together. $300 for a home version is a steal of a deal. Can't find those things for a decent price and do the job properly outside of the commercial versions, so if Ninja is making them, they gotta be better than anything else out there for home use.
A 4lb bag of sugar is less than $3 at Wallmart. 4lbs of Allulose from Amazon costs $52. You would be making some pretty expensive slushies with that substitution.
I use my Mirfee slushie machine for community/church events, which was $1,000. Most commercial machines start at $700 and these Ninja machines are typically higher-end retail, the price doesn't seem that bad. It seemed to work pretty well with his tests, I wish he did a high-volume test.
I have had mine now for about 2 months and love it..1 thing to note..If the level is low it wont keep it frozen so the more that you have in there the better...I assume when it gets so low that its not touching the condensor very well so it wont stay frozen.
Thanks for the fun video. I've gone carnivore and could use it to make carnivore ice cream but most likely won't. It's always fun to watch you! Damn! Insulin is released when the body detects or anticipates sugar. The chocolate shake just triggered me. LoL I had a feeling i shouldn't watch. I still love your videos.
This idea is highly in debate. Plenty of data out there with diabetics testing this theory and having zero reaction to things like that. Insulin also isn’t the enemy. High insulin is. An insulin response on carnivore is also not totally unusual. Stay away from the psychological aspects of these claims because while your body may respond with hormones (including insulin) that’s also normal and not a big deal. But in terms of a real insulin response to diet drinks that’s way overblown, again diabetics showing that most don’t have any reaction at all. I am not a diabetic but I get no reaction to it.
3:35 so here’s the thing with diet. You totally can. Just add maple syrup. You don’t taste it at all. If you don’t want to add any though just turn up the cold and keep pressing the button because it’ll beep and turn off on you…. It’s a b but it’s possible. It taste amazing too. But I just use a small amount of maple for my sugar if I don’t want to keep turning it on.
The warm air coming out the back is to be expected with a machine like that. Any refrigeration unit works by taking the heat inside and moving it outside (remember that cold doesn't exist, it's just the absence of thermal energy). Refrigerators are warm at the back for this reason, and your condenser unit on your AC at home pushes out hot air for this same reason.
The difference is during the rinse cycle, the freezing element of the coil doesn't turn on. If you use hot liquids to make slushies, you stress the compressor so that it works overtime in cooling the liquid first and then partially freezing it. More stress means more risk of damage.

As I watched James's video, that was my impression also.
Note that he demonstrated it making ice cream. I have no comment on quality. The last time I made ice cream was 40 years ago and it was hand cranked.
I don't see a compressor machine under $150 that has adjustable temperature settings other than ice cream and gelato settings.

I couldn't ask for a better review !! I'm sold !
i seen the title and thought it said sushi my dyslexia wins again.
Give them time... I'm sure there will be a Ninja Sushi on the way soon. 😉
Same😂
Same, lol. I was confused thinking why is he drinking the sushi.
Same happened to me, kind of disappointed
You're not alone. 😀
You want it thick…is crazy lmao great review i get mine tomorrow finally.
I know not technically made for it .... But I Wonder how well it would make icecream? It Seems like it would probably work great for making soft serve
Ninja reviews are the best. I love how niche their products are but they always seem to work good.
Would have been cool to see how long it would take for the Max Fill to slush
I read this as the Ninja "Sushi" and got really excited 😅
I read it as Sushi maker 1st, dang Ninja sushi maker would be awesome.
I used to work at a movie theatre and that looks just like the machines we used. I'm glad I'll never have to clean another one of those.
The reason 7/11 slurpies are so good is they inject c02 into them after being frozen. Gives them a extra kick.
Would just make them gassy like beer,,i dont see it.
That's genuinely what they do, it fluffs the ice and makes soda flavors less flat.@@EmeraldHill-vo1cs
@@EmeraldHill-vo1cs Just because you don't understand or see it, doesn't mean it isn't true. The CO2 adds some carbonation like soda, but it also helps to give it a whipped creamy texture.
@@christianmiller1723 Sure youre not mixing n2o or n2? Not argueing just clarifying, Cos they use n2 for creaminess in frappes etc.
Maybe you could dispense the slushie into a soda stream bottle to add carbonation yourself, it probably wouldn't be exactly the same but might add a bit of the bubbly.
Just ordered one yesterday! I can't wait to try it 😊
Maybe compare it to the "BUNN" brand name of commercial slushie makers, it is easy to tell that it is built around their style (and therefore should work pretty good).
The best part of watching Freakin Reviews is I get to feel like a tried out a gizmo, without a block of plastic junk cluttering my house after
I've always wanted one of these units. I'm glad I watched your review--I had no idea that diet soda would not work. I guess it's not for me.
Somebody else commented theres ways around that, agar or other things.
@@EmeraldHill-vo1csdiet sodas are already made with sugar substitutes. it not working with diet soda also means it won’t work with sugar substitutes. please take a basic food/nutrition class.
@@misseselise3864 All i did was try and help by relaying what had been said, please take a reading and comprehension class.
@@misseselise3864 It says on their own website "HACK SUGAR-FREE RECIPES: Add recommended sugar substitutes to ensure perfect slushing."
Agar is a thickener with some similarity to gelatin. It's not a sweetener. It helps with the freezing point/texture. The reason the thing usually needs sugar is that it effects how it freezes. Could also use something like xantham gum. @@misseselise3864
I may have to start saving my pennies for this one...as someone that sadly had all their teeth removed this would be a great way to drink fun drinks with some of the powdered vitamins I need inside its so nice to see one of these work so well
*DANG* !! That thing is *HUGGGGGE* !! It looks like something that belongs in a restaurant.
I can see caterers use it for parties, but I can’t imagine it in the average kitchen…
Waiting not so patiently for one.
TWU
I don't think I'd get this myself but if I did a lot of parties or cookouts it would be appealing. Having friends over to grill with frozen margaritas sounds like a blast.
Yes, but the wait time and small batching would be party killer. Margarittaville would have more pro's.
Oh..... Slushi. I read Sushi and was super excited.
Same here 😂
Same here I was intrigued, then disappointed when I read Slushi.
I was imagining a QVC demo.
Same!
A fish brain-freeze? I'm not so sure about that.
Looks well worth it. I will definitely keep this on my Christmas radar. Perhaps a sale is on the horizon. Oh, great presentation as well!!! 😊
That seems like such a great gift for someone who is too sensible to spend that much money on their own.
I agree. It is in the category of: "I wouldn't buy one myself, but if you are determined to get me a pricy present........"
Ninjas products are built in such a unique way, it really makes cleaning so easy. I have the juicer and it is so easy to use and clean
I love my Ninja products.
Great review! I appreciate the in depth and thoughtful testing and review! Great video!
Do they include settings/mix ratio for using Icee like syrup? 👀
Thank you, didn't know these existed. Bought one :)
I misread this as Ninja Sushi - I would have liked to have seen that review too!
Yep I’m sold! Thank you for this awesome review!
You should take the mixture from the frappe and freeze it and then put it in the Ninja Creami? I think that is what it is called and then make ice cream from it.
I saw all your reviews. I love the ice-cream maker.
Cheers.
Amazing product. Pricy, but in my opinion worthed. Makes 5 different types of drinks, and what is most important seems that is doing it properly.
I love slushies and I'm getting me one when they come back in stock.
It probably won't hurt anyone if it hasn't already.
I use my waterpik when there's build up and it keeps it perfectly clean
I was wondering when you'll do that Ninja Slushi review when you were mentioning that Icee product recently! Happy to see you got your hands on this to do a review.
Dude, $300 for a good slushie maker is CHEAP!!!! SUPER CHEAP!!! Otherwise your looking at $800 and up!
Thank you very much . I was needing this to decide on getting one for a slushi lover in my family for Christmas.
Socks are better tho
@8:25 In French,an é makes an "eh" sound. Resumé (rez-um-meh), Rosé (rose-eh), so frappé ( frap-peh or pay).
It's "frap" in American English
I had to clean the commercial versions of those things. They got cold fast, but they also took forever to disassemble and put back together after being cleaned. I got so good at it, it would take me 25 mins from disassembly to clean to back together.
$300 for a home version is a steal of a deal. Can't find those things for a decent price and do the job properly outside of the commercial versions, so if Ninja is making them, they gotta be better than anything else out there for home use.
Excited you took my suggestion to review this!
😅Yours and many other people’s.
I'm glad you did!
Ninja knows all my weaknesses....adding this to my xmas list lol
"Can't use Diet Sodas"
*cries in diabeetus*
If you add allulose it’ll slush and still be 0 cal it’s even posted on ninja’s TikTok
A 4lb bag of sugar is less than $3 at Wallmart. 4lbs of Allulose from Amazon costs $52. You would be making some pretty expensive slushies with that substitution.
Can't wait for you to review the Ninja Sushi!
13:47 actual audio of what it sounds like when i urinate, unbeknownst to me it sounds similar to frying chicken.
LOL
I'm not gonna lie, I thought it said ninja sushi review lol and I was already sold 😂
10:25 That's what she said.
Good job 😊. Like how informative your review was.
$300.... No, thank you. That's an awful lot of slushes and milkshakes from the store!
I use my Mirfee slushie machine for community/church events, which was $1,000. Most commercial machines start at $700 and these Ninja machines are typically higher-end retail, the price doesn't seem that bad. It seemed to work pretty well with his tests, I wish he did a high-volume test.
Very cool but also too large and expensive
I have had mine now for about 2 months and love it..1 thing to note..If the level is low it wont keep it frozen so the more that you have in there the better...I assume when it gets so low that its not touching the condensor very well so it wont stay frozen.
So it's literally a Polar Pop machine. And the special technology they are using to make that cylinder cold is a standard Refrigeration equipment
It's borderline commercial, in fact for a few hundred more you could get a commercial one that has 2 dispensers.
Thanks for the fun video. I've gone carnivore and could use it to make carnivore ice cream but most likely won't. It's always fun to watch you!
Damn! Insulin is released when the body detects or anticipates sugar. The chocolate shake just triggered me. LoL
I had a feeling i shouldn't watch.
Maple syrup is just a different form of sugar. It's not "healthy". The best option for cutting sugar is allulose which will still allow freezing.
Lmaaoo. "Want a diet coke slushie? Oh I added MAPLE SYRUP" 😂😂😂
Lol. The guide says never add hot water, but during the rince program, it says to add hot water 😂.
The difference is during the rinse cycle, the freezing element of the coil doesn't turn on. If you use hot liquids to make slushies, you stress the compressor so that it works overtime in cooling the liquid first and then partially freezing it. More stress means more risk of damage.
Try rinsing it out with cold water and see where that gets you.
