      @@iPadForArchitecture Everyone in my family has an iPad but I do not have one right now. :) I can just see how you used the tool very well to its most. Love to see that. I also love architecture ( Mies van der Rohe,Phillip Johnson, etc.). Your designs and thought processes have been a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

    Thank you for the video!
    As for handwriting: there is an option in procreate to add text, i think making your own font from handwriting can make work flow smoother. Like copying text from source material and changing font to your own, also you can adjust size by selection tool like with any other object

      I have tried that but I do find it somewhat cumbersome, usually because I have my iPad out of the keyboard cover and flat on my desk and I have to use the onscreen keyboard which is difficult or awkward at best

    Cool…. Enjoyable Work flow. I was thinking Modular and/or Panels all the way through simply set in place, with roof, wall connections…. Atrium drainage considerations…. I think I could do a basic modified version from this guidance…. Thanks

      Wow thank you! Depending on how next meeting goes we’ll see what scheme they go for but yeh, modular components seem critical to success. Are you an architect or builder?

    Why do you prefer to create these drawings in Procreate versus Morpholio?

    • @iPadForArchitecture
      @iPadForArchitecture  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I find the interface to be so much cleaner and modern. After cutting my teeth on Procreate it was very hard to go back and use Morpholios clunky layers. I do like their scale features which are elegant but it seems like they ran out of money before they could improve the rest of the app. One example that drives me crazy is the inability to transform or erase part of or alter in sk many important ways an imported image and because I was doing a lot of rendering at the time I really needed all the powers of photoshop at my pencil tip. Whereas Morpholio felt like something you’d use in high school shop class. Don’t get me wrong. J have a best selling course called the Morpholio Trace Accelerator for Busy Partners and Prinicipals (see link in description below) but when it really counts I go straight to Procreate. Why do you prefer Morpholio over Pricreate? Am genuinely interested and willing to be convinced 😊

    Hello, Very informative video like all your other videos...
    I have one question if you please to answer : This style that you have in almost all your videos, which is also common in some other youtube videos of same kind, drawings going back and forth, flickering mildly, colors and lines apperaring-dissapearing, texts and letters adding than erasing back and forth, how do you that effect ?
    Thank you...

    • @iPadForArchitecture
      @iPadForArchitecture  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Wow great question! I’m dictating this to my iPhone, so forgive me if there are typos. That flickering occurs because you are watching what’s known as a video replay, a feature of procreate, which allows you to playback the appearance of your screen from stroke to stroke or from gesture to gesture as a way of re-creating, the drawing like magic. The flickering is caused when the artist pauses or makes gesture, which is not as visible as a line or a color being added so the video replay is picking up each little pause every time you open up the layer menu, for example, or every time you use the selection to Ole Ole and change to another selection to Ole Ole, etc. It’s all those little Pauses between actions and gestures that show up in the video replay as if they were a more visible part of the drawing or painting itself. Does that make sense? Thanks so much for this great great question.

    Question: How do you address the need for Layout due to it not being on iPad Pro? I have desktop SketchUp/Layout but would love to make simple quick revisions when away from my office. I guess I could look into RDP…

    • @iPadForArchitecture
      @iPadForArchitecture  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Unfortunately I have never tried Layout and have been missing a good thing, I am sure. Would love to know more about it. I'm guessing you could share the iPad file back to your desktop after you got home from vacation (in my imaginary scenario only people on vacation use SketchUp for iPad lol) then do Layout on the desktop as usual?

    • @xekeys
      @xekeys 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@iPadForArchitecture Oh man! Layout definitely has its issues but it’s such an important and good tool in my workflow for creating construction documents. Yes I think I’ll treat the ipad more as a lite work/media device on my vacations haha.
