Wow, I'm not even an architectural artist, but I'm just impressed at how unconventionally and conveniently that Procreate can be used. I just tend to think of it as a sketching/painting app. It can be a full design suite with this kind of ingenuity. A great peek at a handy use.
Having done many 3d model renderings with lighting and having some drawings skills (and enjoying drawing), this is an eye opener. I could see using this with my own basic SketchUp and Thea renderings. I’ve done some of these techniques (like the bookcase) for those areas that “don’t have to be perfect”, but I do tend to belabor each rendering while struggling for just the right textures and lighting. This makes it more fun and I can certainly save time, especially for those one-off conceptual renderings-because I often feel that people are going to look at it only for a number of seconds and the general idea is the important thing, not the detail of my work.
Hello James, I just wanted to say hello and give you a big thank you for all of this incredible material. Your videos are an amazing source of knowledge for architects and interior designers who want to improve their skills for contemporary digital design.
I appreciate your comment more than I can possibly convey. Thank you so much for your support all these years. It’s folks like you who make it such a pleasure to give back every day. Can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts in the future 😊
Your familiarity sometimes accelerates the content, thus making it difficult to absorb. Never-the-less, your skill and enthusiasm are infectious. Thank you.
Wow, thank you! Remember that you can tap that gear button at the lower right corner of the TH-cam screen and slow it down while still keeping the audio intelligible. And yes, I do sometimes go fast but that’s because I’m trying to split the difference between beginners and intermediate like yourself. But I really appreciate your comment and I hope you keep commenting on more of my videos!
Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials! I am a novice who just purchased an apple pencil to do some landscape design with Morpholio Trace. It has opened up a whole new world!! The possibilities are endless and I am so inspired.
Always a pleasure to see your work James. Is it possible to pursue this line of visual rendering work for someone with no formal education or experience?
@@shubhamvisuals4717 you are so kind! Thank you for confirming what I have always thought; that I have the best audience in the world, and that there is nothing that I like more than to create content that helps and possibly even inspires them! By all means, please keep your comments coming 😊
Hi Keri: I'm not really editing and SketchUp for iPad in this one. I am doing all this in procreate. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Have you tried procreate or are you only working with iPad so far in your career.?
Hi, Gisela! Not that I'm watching my TH-cam comment thread, lol, but very nice to see you here! Let me know if you have question. I now return myself to my previously wished-for schedule )
M2 iPad 12.9 w/ (only!) 512 GB memory. Missed getting the M3 by a few weeks, darn it! If you haven't answered elsewhere already, can I ask how you're using iPad drawing in your personal or professional life?
OMG! You are amazing wow! I’ve learned more about procreate from your video than in a year. Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. You made everything look so easy and your paste was incredible for actually keeping up. Watched the entire video with my mouth wide open. Thank you!
@yaprakgezmen1658 Thank you so much-your kind words really made my day! I’m thrilled the video was helpful, especially if you’ve been feeling stuck with Procreate. This hybrid rendering process is great for anyone, even those who think they can’t draw-it’s all about simplifying the steps and making it fun. For anyone curious, I dive even deeper into these techniques in my courses (link in the description), where you can learn to create your own stunning renderings in just a weekend. No pressure, of course, but it’s there if you’re ready to take things to the next level! Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts-it means a lot. Keep creating! Best, James

Thank you kindly! re: your question: I know of people who have become renderers without an architectural degree, if that's what you're asking?
