- In this Video I put on some griptape on my Glow in the dark Nickel Board. It´s easy, cheap and very very good for a firm stand on the board.

Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. I applied clear griptape on my Ridge Nickel Board after watching it and it was as easy as you described it. Aaaand my Nickel board still glows in the dark! ;-) So it's perfect now.

mine was made online and thre was a setting where they can put the screws on the bottom and not the top to min has no screws on top with ocean like grip tap

Have you had any issues with the tape since this video was made? Just wondering since I've heard grip tape doesn't stick to penny boards
Tiiphoon it should last quite long my plastic cruiser board has one for like 4 months and I ride it every day, with some time it will stick, but it might cute a little since the grip is paper and the board tends to flex if you're heavy like me

Bekommt das Tape denn keine Löcher durch die Luftkammern durch das Diamant Muster? Hält das denn richtig? Ich find die Idee gut, auch wenn ich durch den nur noch unten vorhandenen Glow in the Dark Effekt nochmal genau drüber nachdenke ob ich das bei mir machen will.

Is the grip tape that can come with the nickel board (from Penny) still good, compared to this?
ThatEfenGuy probably better because it was designed for the penny tape, so it won’t peel and you can keep the logo on the top

What kind of griptape do you use
Hi! I see that you have the penny board clone from "Ridge". I just got my 27" Ridge Penny board yesterday. I have one questione because of the deck. On the upside it has some kind of "bump" or elevated area (it like a lifted line frome the front truck to the back truck). I just wanted to know if this is normal. Or is your deck perfectly flat on the upper side? Because when standing on the Board I can feel the lifted area and I was wondering if this is normal. Thank you a lot!

I have no idea where penny got the idea that their boards natural plastic waffle top had enough grip to be not only viable but seen as reliable for a "complete solution" for grip on these boards... It's so NOT a good firm grip whatsoever and if you get the SLIGHTEST amount of water or damp water/grease mix from the streets on your shoes/board? It's game over that thing is gone come RIGHT OUT from under you... SURPRISE! Happy bday your present this year is a busted ass
That said I noticed a lot of long board manufacturers are using some type of sand+clear coat paint/adhesive (kinda like the new non slip floors being used at playground, pools, parks, etc) to put a pretty reliable and long lasting grip on boards with exposed deck tops that are pretty darn nice and grippy when new... Dunno why this would be so difficult to add to their process...

+survivalmike Mit transparentem griptape (von Titus) leuchtet es noch genauso schön wie vorher, wenn es richtig aufgeladen ist. ;-)
+Britta-Ilona Schröder klingt gut. leider hat es beim blue tomato nur das reguläre Black griptape gegeben. stell mir das transparente schon sehr geil vor am board.

Or you can buy penny grip tape which is easier and customized to the boards shape
