John wrote this song and dedicated it to Werner Erhard and all the est graduates after he completed the est training in the early 1970’s up in Aspen 🤩 🙏🏼 🥰
Respect! As a retired Biophysicist/ Luthier, from a family known for cutting up perfectly Playable Gibson Guitars of the 50's and 60's... to make them "Better"... that GUILD F-50 John Denver is playing is one of the MASTERPIECE Instruments, lost to Name Brand , Martin, Gibson, Taylor and Fender Popularity. Thank You for providing an audio sample to compare these Wonderful American made guitars!
I'm working a guitar tech for my father who is a Luthier. My father knows someone who was friends with John Denver and owns one of Johns old Guilds that John himself sold him. I got the great honor the other day of getting to restring it and put a new pickup in it. The guitar has remained untouched since John owned it, every scuff, every little piece of character that guitar has on it is directly from John. Johns friend knowing I'm a huge fan even let me keep Johns Denver's old pickup as a keepsake. I told my dad if he ever acts like he wants to sell him that guitar, no matter the price just pay it and I will give him his money back. It was the best sounding guitar I've ever heard and played on, those old Guilds really are special, special guitars for special musician. Rest in peace John Denver, you are missed and the world was better place when you we're here.
