When I had my full race it was droney af ... but I had full race catless dp Now here I am with a new si, but this time it’s turbo, and I’m trying to decide if I can handle the full race noise again -_- but the Q3oo doesn’t perform quite as well :-/ So I can’t choose -__-
If you want it louder, I'd recommend getting a different exhaust like ktuned, skunk 2 or even invidia N1. BUT, if you just want a LOUDER full race exhaust, you can always delete the resonator.
I honestly love the deep-tone sound of this exhaust. Not too quiet that sounds like a stock car nor is it too loud to be heard a mile away. But if you prefer a louder exhaust than deleting the resonator would do it.
best thing to do if you have the full race exhaust is to buy another test pipe. and cut in a hfc weld and replace makes swapping things out really fast and no issue of clearance
i have a K&N SRI, Vibrant Catless Race Header and a XLR8 3" full catback exhaust ... EXTREMELY annoying drones in 3000 - 3500rpm while cursing. btw, the Skunk2 Alpha is also a Catless Header right? Do you have any suggestions to get rid of the annoying drones? Thanks
If you dont like EXTREMELY annoying drones then I recommend Full Race or Q300 for minimal drones lol. Skunk 2 Alpha Header is cat less. Sorry, i do not have any suggestion to get rid of annoying drones besides getting a more quiet exhaust.
I used some dynamat in the trunk, and also carpet padding under the spare tire and the rest of the trunk, as suggested in a post in 8thcivic.com. I bought the carpet padding from amazon, here, for reference: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0719SD71J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This combination improved the quietness inside the car with windows up. Hope it helps.
comment man comment man No prob man. Skunk 2 is one of the loudest exhaust system with or without a cat on. Imo, full race is the nicest sounding exhaust system if you dont want loud drones on the highway but nice sound while accelerating.
Are you comparing this to the skunk2 catback megapower R (70mm) like how loud it is? I have the 70mm one and want quieter. The highway drone is getting old for me. Im hoping this 3” is quieter.
Alfonso Pena Im comparing this to all 8th gens exhaust. I’d rate sk2 (70mm) as a 9/10 in loudness and full race at 4/10. Full race is a lot quieter than the skunk 2 exhaust.

I really like Full Race, had it on my previously owned FA5 w/ S2 Alpha Header, cold start vibrates the windows in front of my house.
I just bought the q300. As much as I like it I wish I had just gone with the Skunk2 76mm. Especially since I’m in Florida and we have no emissions

Turbos inherently muffle some of the exhaust noise. Go with the Q300
I'm looking into getting an exhaust system for my 06. I like this one,but how do I make it louder?

BrokeBruh I prefer the clean look of this muffler I hate the thermos type mufflers lol. Maybe I'll delete the resonator like you suggested.

Hi. Yes, according to another video (with a Q300 exhaust) he had the Skunk2 header installed at the time.
