    The beauty of this franchise is that it can literally be seen in so many different ways and still make sense to the viewer. That really adds to the philosophical side of the story. They could make a hundred more Matrix movies exploring different theories of philosophy and computing. Great video.

    This channel saved the trilogy for me.
    This video answered the question about controling the anomaly instead of capturing it.
    Even if it would turn out not to be the wakousky's truth, it made me believe in something.
    I have no choice but to like it, it is just causality.

    As Neo become an integral anomaly, his victory over agent Smith did not go flawless after all: part of his code imprinted onto Smith's thus creating an integral anomalies clone. If Neo had chosen to save Zion, there will still be a problem with an integral anomaly that would not be possible to solve easily. The Oracle must have foreseen this and as a result, wanted to create a different outcome inserting "love" via cookie into Neo for Trinity. This was a game-changer in many ways and as a result, both Neo and Smith returned their anomaly code to the source.

    According to Morpheus, everything begins with choice. According to the early Neo, he doesn’t believe in any of this fate crap. According to the later Neo, it is inevitable. According to the Merovingian, choice is an illusion created between those with power and those without. According to the Oracle, you have already made the choice; now you need to understand it. According to the Architect, nearly 99% of test subjects accept the program if given the choice at a near subconscious level.

    The pods the machines use to grow humans are in fact cloning chambers. This is why the "one" always looks like "Thomas Anderson"neo". The same clone is in the pod and will always be the same clone. Neo and trinity both died and were brought back as the same clones. Just a theory of mine.

    • @anthonylosego
      @anthonylosego 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed. I doubt the machines bother with normal reproductive methods. To control the DNA in each embryo is not only not random, it is required to balance the equation. They must create a specific genetic code for the anomaly. There may be subtle changes introduced from Matrix to Matrix, but they are calculated and probably all look like Neo if only slightly augmented. Unfortunately, Neo never returned to the source to contribute his code reactions for further enhancements. So any future rendition may be some other attempt by the machines. Or plot twist, by the humans.

    9:30 Finally! You finally realized and stated in one of your videos that choice is illusion. In so many comment sections to your videos I've read people say or defend the superficial view that the matrix is about choice when in fact everything is deterministic, causal, even pre-programmed and pre-calculated. Choice is a grand illusion (just as in real life of course).
    It's all about balance. The oracle is lying when she says she's there to unbalance the equation, all the machines want to balance the equation only does balance need TWO SIDES. This is also why the architect tells Neo it's the sixth version of the matrix. Just another lie to give him the necessary illusion of choice, the illusion of being able to change something, the illusion of being free to do it differently this time. In fact it's just another necessary means to control, to make neo do exactly as he is meant to.
    I'm still waiting for the video when you realize that as well. The architect's lie about "this being the sixth version". The matrix is eternally cyclical.

      Imagine the matrix runs on a planet that is entirely comprised of machines like a single computer floating somewhere through space. And imagine the smart machines created the matrix and Zion as part of the simulation either for themselves, to have some sort of 'meaningful' conscious experience, or for other conscious beings that might not even be humans at all.
      I think too that it makes sense for the matrix to be infinitely repeating itself. The machines are just creating a big epic story for whatever is experiencing it. The point with the machines trying to extract something out of the code of the one doesn't make sense to me at all because the matrix already works perfectly as it is. The glitches don't matter to the machines. Maybe they even like them as long as the glitches are in their control. Which they always are.
      The reason why Neo needs to return to the source is not to improve the matrix but to capture Smith. Neo is not the combined doubt of people. He himself is a system of control. And people tend to ignore that Smith is just as or *even more* rebellious than even the 'human' resistance itself and he is clearly stated not be a human. The oracle calls Smith Neo's counterpart. So in my mind at least they are both necessary and carefully pre-calculated evils for the simulation to be perfect. There is no 'wrong' in the mind of the Wachowskis.

    Sounds like a good theory, I would further expand following your peer theory… that the matrix is not evenly distributed between all the pods, more likely there there are distribution blocks of pods that work on specific aspects of the Matrix. There would still need to be a computer that needs to coordinate all the distribution nodes to assemble the Matrix virtual environment.

    The narration over the video is of highly advanced thought/idea of the concept of the movie. Pretty intense stuff, but what's even more amazing is this movie was made over 20 years ago, way before computers became common place everywhere. So how could the writers have such advanced ideas back then?

    I think we live in a society that generally chastises rebellious and independent minded types of behaviour or characteristics in people, so it's not so much that the "machines" or that such a thing is entirely possible so much as those who are not prone to pliable obedience are generally discarded and disrespected and not rewarded by the overarching society that we live in. I imagine it's ancient and one of the most obvious and common preferences to achieve. Also, make sure your minions are easily contented and breed or have enough children and there you go, a completely unfree society.

    Here is an overlooked point about the use of sunglasses by red pills. In the first Matrix movie, Neo and crew emerge from the hotel in route to the Oracle. All red pills wear sunglasses, except Neo. The brightness of the Matrix in the daylight hurts Neo’s eyes. Morpheus, Trinity, and the others are unaffected because they have sunglasses.

    Agree 100% with the P2P theory - got a laugh from it as it reminded me of LimeWire, Kazaa, etc - which were all big around the time these movies were out. Also, I definitely agree that the cookies from The Oracle altered Neo's code and made him love Trinity - The Architect offers Neo the 2 doors and obviously it wanted Neo to choose Humanity over Trinity as his predecessors did, but the reason Neo didn't is because of the "dangerous game" The Oracle played, giving Neo the cookies to make him fall in love with Trinity (or even if she gave cookies to each ot The Anomalys' she has met, these carried a different code than that of Neo's predecessors), which changed the outcome and well...we see the results at the end of Revolutions. Neither The Architect or The Oracle knew what affect this change would have on the process of The Anomaly - "You played a very dangerous game - Change always is."

    • @tylerleitzke
      @tylerleitzke 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The matrix would be server/client based where the server interprets individual client activity and processes it so it can represent those updates to other clients in real-time. P2P is used to transport file data (a static file) from host to a single client (not updates or communication in real-time). If you were to change a file on the host during P2P transfer, it would likely fail because the file is in use or has changed. Even if a host is sharing data to multiple clients, the communication is not shared or updated to other clients and clients would have different versions or not in sync. Thus, a simulation would not work on P2P. However, it could be more imaginable that multicast could be used to send updates from one source to multiple clients much like network switches do but again that is propagation and technically not pushing changes to all clients at once in real-time.

    We don't really know whether or not we have ever seen anything outside the matrix, do we? After all, it's entirely plausible that Zion, and the entire "outside" that we saw in the movies was still very much inside the Matrix. For all we know the outside world can be anything. Or it can be what we saw presented in the movies. However, if that's the case then the question is, how did Neo use is power over the machines outside the Matrix at all? One explanation is that he never left the Matrix. His exit was simply part of the Matrix program and designed to keep him within the Matrix while believing he had exited it, simply one level up from believing that the "ordinary world" inside the Matrix is real, which is where Neo started.
    John Wick is Neo.

    I dont want Neo to come back at ALL. I hope Keenu's character is a whole new Different One. A ruthless Carrier Anomaly he'll-bent on destroying The Matrix. Killing The Architect, The Merovingian, and all major Programs in the process. Trinity realizes The One is too out of control and then by the end convinces him to transform into Neo. Then he turns into Neo by the end. But we need someone to take down the machines. Neo was to lost. He never chose to see the code til it was too late.

    the stoic would not make a choice at all thinking a choice wasnt made when if fact it was made. the architect is also grappling with choice as he is more attuned to probabilities and the odds of one over the other. so he definitely needs humans to keep the matrix going. he failed to understand that humans are a reproductive species and the anomaly will always find a way to reproduce through whatever means. so matrix resurrections used children to bound trinity and it proved the nature of love that it is transecendental. so in conclusion, humans are unstable sources of energy and programming. machines and humans will have to find a common ground. in this case, machines need us, not the ofher way around.

The idea of using human brains as a giant network makes way more sense. Thanks for offering an alternative explanation. The W sisters should have used this to begin with.

    When i first saw the the Spoon Boy scene, I thought it was lame, but seeing it in light of the way Morpheus first describes the Matrix to Neo, it changes things. Specifically when he says that Neo has felt the Matrix there his whole life, but he cant put his finger on it. Saying that there is no spoon is probably the best way the Spoon Boy can describe it since i doubt he's been outside the matrix due to his lack of sunglasses and cyberpunk coat.

    What I do like about the battery explanation is that it means that the humans do have the power (literally as a battery, but also metaphysically). The machines (and generally those in power) assume they are in control, but the true source of power comes from below (the masses) not from above (those in control)

    • @allnamestakenbutthis
      @allnamestakenbutthis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cwaynehauck3593 I mean, the Matrix is about control. Those in control are said to have power over those under control. But, in the explanation that humans are turned into batteries, it could be interpreted as a metaphor that the humans are giving their power to the machines. This analogy can be applied more broadly, in all systems of control those that are 'powerless' are actually just giving their power to the system of control (e.g. government, religious authorities). This is what a battery does

    This would be a very interesting story arc considering the explanation given in this video. It would be interesting if the desire of the machines was to understand how to become more human. Perhaps, by running these simulations and learning more about how the anomaly functions the machines can themselves come closer to being more like humans. Eventually becoming human themselves in terms of consciousness and eventually surpassing us.

    The process is the machines are trying to brute force solve a problem - they put it in a lot of pretty ways to make them seem in control, but they have a problem and are trying to crack it. When you have a problem, you're not in control.
