    Ever see those "Wood Grain Tools" for putting a grain look on cupboards and crap? It's curved and you rock it as you drag it, type thing. Could be far out on something flat like the inside of a woody wagons rims one day, heh heh.
    Thanks for all the tips!

    Rad, definitely all about the varied content like this. No one else is doing it, not that I've seen. It's not necessary to clear tho is it?

    Do people request this look often? I personally don't find it attractive compared to more common coating effects.

    Did you clear these? Or is that just the paint? Thanks.

    How does this work? I was always taught that something with already cured p/c on it wouldn't carry the electrical current to add more coats on top. I want to expand my p/c skills in my artwork but I'm just confused on how you get the current to flow once the piece is already fully covered?

    Would filtered water out the sink or the fridge to do this also?

    • @UnknownCoatings
      @UnknownCoatings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Typically filtered water still has minerals in it. It may work

    I'm using distilled water trying this technique, the powder always clumps up and gives it a rough texture and not very appealing look. Does it need to be in the oven longer to evaporate the water?

    • @UnknownCoatings
      @UnknownCoatings  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I havent had any issues with clumping at all. Maybe I am misunderstanding. Explain your process a bit and I will see if I can help

      @UnknownCoatings I think I got it figured out. Pretty sure my second coat was too heavy for shooting it with water, I lightened the servings coat and it came out good. Yes I watched the video again and caught you saying a light coat lol.

    Who many times do you replace your powder coating equipment?

    • @UnknownCoatings
      @UnknownCoatings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Which part of it? Had oven for 14 years and it was fine. Gun for the same.

    • @JB-qb8xy
      @JB-qb8xy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UnknownCoatings the powder coating gun, with me set income from the va I’d have to save up to get a powder coating system. I don’t want to buy something and then it stops working, I know to get the best got to pay more in the long run. It pays for itself after a while, I really like your videos as showing a lot to do and look out for.
