as much as i wish i could agree, he doesn't have the numbers. only 2455 hits, a .264 lifetime batting average, .321 obp (as a lead off hitter). 470 stolen bases is impressive but not enough for Hall consideration. Jimmy was exciting and obviously a key component to our great teams, but he is not an all time great. an all time great Phillie, yes. but also having said that, it is possible that Jimmy could sneak into the Hall with the way hall of fame elections have gone.
@@steveswangler6373 2455 hits is definitely hall of fame material. He was the best short stop in the national league for about 10 years. He’s got an mvp, silver slugger, and 4 gold gloves as well as a ring. I really think you’ll be surprised and he’ll get in sooner than later. At least I hope so
Best defensive SS I ever saw. Had everything range, arm, made every rourine play and many spectacular plays. He also made it easier for the first baseman with chest high throws with something on it.
I Remember Jimmy Rollins said in 2007 that the Phillies were the team to beat in NL East, Hard to believe those words came true in 2007 when we won the NL East.
watching and reminiscing about this team, the 2007-2009 and even the 2010-11 underachievers, you can really see why the team hasnt been very good the last few years. . there is no fire for the last 6-7 years or so. in the Charlie Manuel era, that team was never out of a game or a pennant race. now the Phillies start talking about wild card in july. that's for losers. like the shortened 2020 season. people want to throw all the blame on the bullpen. how about bryce harper's .233 RISP BA? his 13 games wihtout a hit in september, think about any big hits he's had in a Phillie uniform. one grandslam two seasons ago. one big hit. most overrated player in baseball history.
If he gets his fair shake he’s in the Hall

4th best fielding shortstop by fielding percentage all time
Jroll and victorino were such a nasty duo on the base paths
Miss this guy's leadership
My favorite Phillies player of all time
Thank You. This was fun to watch. Hopefully, Hall of Fame.

I like Orlando Cabrera better he was a better fielder than Rollins
Watching jroll hit triples were some of the best things to watch as a philly fan back then
J-Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss Rollins playing for the Phillies. He was a great player. All around player. Defense and Offense.
1:30 was a classic, little league home run to tie the game
