      @@walawala-fo7ds Where are you getting your information? The GX 550 hasn't had any recalls. And all the issues with the 3.4L TT have been due to manufacturing errors, not design or engineering defects. The turbo issue was a defect from one of the suppliers Toyota used. If there was a fault in the Bilstein shocks, would you blame Bilstein or Toyota? And for the metal shavings recall, it's a manufacturing oversight. Time will tell if it will continue to affect the newest Tundras/LXs, but only the earlier ones were affected and Toyota is making it right with full engine replacements.
      Toyota is redesigning their entire manufacturing process to deliver vehicles for the next 15-20 years. They're bound to miss a thing or two. And they seem to be doing right by their customers when problems are identified (though, it's far from ideal that customers have to find these troubles before action can be taken)

      @@walawala-fo7ds I have no problem with them. TURBO diesels are a very popular engine choice world wide. Many are known to be the most reliable and desired engines in the world, especially by Toyota. There's absolutely no reason why that technology can't be made reliable in gas engines. But many Americans don't see this because we don't really have small displacement turbo diesel vehicles here.

    @jensalan หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    IMO, the limited and platinum is the best trim level. The locking torsen center diff is the one thing that all the other trim levels is missing for seemingly no reason.
    Full time 4wd with atrac is going to perform well in almost all scenarios while also reducing wear, stress and potential breakage on your drivetrain.
    This applies on and off road, but nobody seems to understand this.
    Sure it comes on 20" wheels, but if people are going to swap wheels anyway, it doesn't matter...

      @mtnyotas I have the best of all worlds in my 2008 4th gen 4runner V6. It has 2hi as well as the lockable torsen center diff. I can even drive in 4lo with the center diff unlocked (functionally an AWD Low range). But Toyota doesn't offer this anymore. My guess being that very few people actually understood how great it was.
      Front/rear lockers always has good aftermarket support. The torsen center diff basically has no support at all besides factory.

    • @zajdabneeg
      @zajdabneeg หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jensalan in driving scenario it makes sense for the limited and platnium. But if you using for harder terrians and getting stuck I think the others have it better. Me as a regular guy who don’t go into the mountains or woods, the limited and plat is for me but then prices need to chill

    • @jensalan
      @jensalan หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@zajdabneeg That's just my point. When the Torsen center diff is locked, it's functionally identical to the part time 4wd system in all the other trims.
      If you could put the Torsen center diff in a TRD Pro and lock it, it will drive identically to a regular TRD Pro in H4L in all conditions. That's just how differentials work.
      Typically in the "luxury" trims, Toyota tends to leave out the more advanced ATRAC system which is basically just software/firmware with a physical knob. So Toyota is artificially removing off road goodies because they're off road goodies and not luxury goodies.
      And there's basically no scenario where 2hi is more favorable than full time 4wd. AWD donuts in snow are significantly easier, faster, and more fun than when in 2wd. The only benefit that 2hi has is you can do a burnout which is basically pointless.
