Great job! It was great to watch someone go through the process. I made the same pattern for NYCC 2019 and am re-making for the "What If" version (animated) of Doctor Strange. I love that you got great length on the cloak. And, unlike other cape or cloak patterns, I love this one because it's made to lay on your shoulders (to support the "pop-up collar") which gives it more of the filmic feel of the Cloak of Levitation. You were a trooper to tackle it in a day or two. I'm taking my time to "get it right" this time around and I'll be using contrasting fabrics for the cape and collar so ideally it will not be as much of an engineering nightmare this time around! Thanks for the great adventure in making that pattern! Kudos and "Cheers!"
My mum is helping me make this just now and we start with the cloak first. Looking to have this made within the next few weeks for a friends Halloween party and possibly for B'ham comic con. Just got to find 2nd hand boots. Looks amazing and love the sari detail om the cloak
Wonderful job!!! Going to my first comic con soon and want to go as Dr Strange. After watching this video, I think I seriously have my work cut out (pun intended) for me.
Amazing Job! I hope this video gets around because in October of 2019 I tried making the Cloak for Halloween and I was confused. I never have sewn a thing in my life. I searched the Internet, I tried McCalls as I was stumped. So I had to laugh at the 13-minute mark at "Cloaks are simple right". I used Wool because the pattern called for wool. Man was it thick. Not knowing sewing lines and what instructions mean I stumbled through it. But it wasnt until I saw images on Amazon of the packet where I could see the backside while being worn by the model. Why they dont have that shot on the packet I dont know. But it was AH-Ha! Okay. I ddint get how the Collar and the Yoke and fold and should look like this and wha?! Why isnt mine turning out. Seam lines are crucial. But I made the cloak and no one noticed my mistakes. Great video!
Hi, I was probably listening to an audio book! Have a look for JediManda if you haven't already, she has an amazing Dr Strange Cosplay from a couple of years back.
thankyou! Yes, he loved it. The cloak was meant to be sewn onto the tunic, but we pinned it on. It was very windy the evening he wore it and the cloak billowed wonderfully :)
Great costume ! I love it. Very interested by the 3D printing. Never thought of it. Have to try it.
Nicely done! Wow! Just wow!

Great job. I made it too, and will use the same pattern for Kaecilius, with twists.
And the pleats were a treat.

Were you using another video as reference (next to your sewing machine)? I'm looking for any and all resources on this pattern.

Looks fantastic! How long did it take for the completed look ?
I can't remember, a couple of weeks maybe? (Not working on it all day, obvioulsy)
Great job! You got all the details in so well. Did he find it easy to wear?
