Here in the US, the NASCAR Winston Cup race, the 1994 Winston Select, was quite the wild race as well. Bob Jenkins paid a little tribute to Ayrton Senna before the race. Things almost ended up badly for my one of my favorite drivers, Mark Martin. During the halfway point of the race, he sustained a bad crash without his car having brakes, he veered off the track at nearly 190 miles an hour going through the inside retaining wall and crashed through two guardrails, through a catchfence and into a third guardrail. He was slightly injured, but lucky to be alive in that freak crash. Dale Earnhardt Sr. won the race and dedicated his win to Senna.
@@tigrimafiose6630 As an engineer, I do know what happened to Senna's Williams that terrible Sunday. As a real fan of motorsport, who grew up watching races with my dad (engineer as well), I will never agree with the absurdly unethical decisions made by F1 stewards at that time, trying to blame Ayrton himself, claiming “human error” as the cause of his death. Anyone who knows the real story, knows how much Senna's family had to fight in court to prove the "technical issue" you mentioned.
R.I.P Senna and Ratzenberger
Fantastic video for one of the greatest!! Thanks Will
Honestly, I think that GP (regardless of the name they give it) should never come back...
Heavy memory. Heavy history.
Senna had a tecnical issue, it could happen everywhere
Althought, a lot of improvements have been done since that tragic weekend, on the cars and on the track
Also, that race should have been interrupted by the severity of the accident that killed Senna while still on the track...
Anyway, there were such irregularities occurred on that dark weekend (we must not forget the Ratzenberger tragedy), which is why I say: Imola should be dropped into oblivion.
I sincerely hope you understand.
Best regards.
P.S. As a matter of knowledge, I suggest you watch Senna documentary/film, a British-French co- production.
@@maryrabelo.s.wagner8346 I've already watched it and i also read the book but I'm tired of people blaming Imola track for his death
The pain I feel today when saw the live scene when was a kid. That's will be a difficult race to watch.
"Who could forget... the spot where, in 2004, Michael Schumacher definitely didn't see Juan Pablo Montoya?" says Will Buxton, only a day after F1 included this as one of "Five Moments You Forgot At Imola." Uh...
This is an amazing work done on this video.
Rest In Peace Senna you are a champion
One of my best Formula 1 circuits Ever.
