I am reviewing the debate between Tom Jump and Kent Hovind. The topic is "Is Evolution a Reasonable Scientific Theory?" This is their third time debating.

It does bring a smile to my face seeing Kent be so thoroughly dissected that the record in his skull just starts skipping.
He does that in every debate. He knows his buffoon followers just want to hear "you think you came from a banana" or "you came from a rock" or "dogs don't give birth to a non dog". That's literally all he has to say to these morons to keep getting donations. Even I am surprised that his acolytes don't do a double take when Kent starts talking about not wanting his tax dollars going to evolution when everyone knows he was convicted of tax evasion and did 10 years for it.

Kent has a weird vendetta against small dogs especially Chihuahuas and pugs because his ex-wife owned some that he was incapable of understanding how she loved and had compassion for them kind of explains a lot about Kent

Well, I showed the main part worth watching (IMO).
SFT is a dishonest biased Kent lover.
What really pisses me off is that Kent is being completely abusive to Tom and the moderator isn't saying a damn word about it.
SFT is not an independent moderator. He gets rid of inconvenient comments and grovels to Kent.
Tom Jump's expressions are absolutely hilarious and I love it.
I wish I had the knowledge to debate Kent, because I definitely have the other important thing you need when debating him. That's patience. What I hate to see, is when people debating Kent are getting even a little angry at him and his stupidity, since that's what he wants. If you are calm like TJump, Kent will get angry soon and it's so satisfying to watch.
You do if you have graduated from High School and attended a Community College, attending a State College would give you more knowledge than you would need.
Kent can't wear headphones because he can't hear his background singers provide him with his nonsense talking points if he does.
AJ, a campaign needs to be launched to STOP ANYONE ELSE "debating" Hovind. Without his "debates" he will fade away. This alliance with SFT is all he has at the moment.

42:25 Kenty always calls Darwin "Charlie Darwin". It's so adorable. I just think it's hilarious how creationists behave with such venomous loathing when they talk about Darwin. It's a very common behavior. Maybe someone should tell Kenty that Darwin is irrelevant in light of modern science
I've noticed this too, Christians really seem to harp on Darwin as if they can point out something Darwin got wrong on the very first version of evolution theory that the entire theory would be toppled over. As though everything we've learned in the past 140 years would simply vanish and the world would go back to being largely theocratic

Before watching: Dr Inmate #06452-017 will say "it's stupid, you believe you came from a rock" a bunch of time. There should really be a Hovind Bingo done some day. But it might be too easy to win that one, since all his debates (insults and gish gallops) are just part of his script.
Kent's predictions, are really post dictions if that makes any sense. He wants to sound like a scientist so bad, he just throws out the words used against him.
SFT, and Co are guilty of the same thing as well.

Scire is better pronounced "Skire" (I pronounced like the i in pink and e pronounced like the e in egg.) At least in the dialect of Latin I subscribe to. Maybe in a later or more Western (or both) dialect of Latin he's pronouncing it right.

It's so ironic that Kent thinks a great Dane is the largest breed of dog, he's obviously never heard of a Mastiff. Wait till he learns that Porpoises are related to wolves. In a new environment, like an aquatic one, size limits increase tremendously which is why dolphins are related to dogs but larger than terrestrial dogs.

If there's a one gripe I have with these debate reviews it is the constant saying of "hovind" after every imitation, it gets really jarring
Imagine a paternity test in court hovind style. We would have to see hovind and his misses do the deed. Then, we would have to have his misses under 24/7 surveillance to ensure she didn't bang anyone else, until mini hovind popped out. Technically, we would have to have her under surveillance for a month or so prior to the initial deed, as who's to say she didn't do the deed with someone five minutes before the hovind job.
The point is. When it comes to paternal testing, observation in this case is the assumption.

I enjoyed this one and callmeemo ones, I have been on and off with some of the atheists and scientists who recently debated Kent on standing for truth channel because I think some of them got understandably preemptively pissed and I think that affected their arguments especially when as we all know STF isn't already a good host and didn't allow them to make as good debators but these guys have been really good

It is a nice debate, and Tjump won hands down. But I hate that he said anything can come from an amoeba. That is not true. Evolution is about branching, and you can't go from a branch to another branch. You can only branch out from where you are. So an amoeba is in the amoeba branch. It cannot produce something that suddenly jumps to the dog branch. It might produce something multicellular akin to a dog, but not a dog. And that multicellular new species would still be an amoeba, but a new species related to other kinds of amoeba that might be around at that time.
Also missed a nice opportunity when kent started on dogs. He could have said "I can take the DNA from a chihuahua, a great dane and a wolf, and I can show that the dogs derived from the wolf, as both dogs have parts of the wolf DNA. Now, they can still be considered the same species as they can breed, but I can take some bear DNA and show you the DNA sequences that match, showing that wolves and bear had a common ancestor they branched off of.

A prediction is a statement about something that should be discovered in the future based on current theoretical understanding. He's even clueless about what a prediction is and why his statements are NOT predictions.
