This is the best monstera leaf tutorial I've tried. It's much more clear than the others and I've been crocheting for a long time but I had trouble getting some of them. Thank you. Yours is very clear and simple.
I haven’t crocheted in years but I really want to make this! lol I may have to start with the basics of creating a chain. Thanks for sharing! I will make this one day.
Hi darlin’ I snagged the last one at Hobby Lobby but they may have one online. He’s a good helper when I get pissed from an incorrect count and want to stop crocheting. ❤ Great motivator lol.
Great tutorial! I just wish you would have slowed down and shown off your stitches so I could double check my work. But overall, very easy to understand and follow!
I have the same problem!! Restarted but got the same problem again, I was thinking maybe in the beginning I shouldn't sc into the first ch from the hook but in the second?
@@lindseyverhoeven4182yes you are correct. I just rewatched and can totally see how that could happen because it is hard to see and I don’t interpret that part besides sc 12 up the stem, but yes it’s the second stitch from the ch 1-turn is where you will start your first sc of 12. So very sorry ladies. I’ll add an addendum in the description tomorrow just in case anyone else is having trouble on this step. ❤
I still can't work our the extra stitch! I keep getting two stitches or none at the end of the stem. Any help for this absolute beginner would be appreciated!
Hi there. Feel free to email me at lindseyann2007@gmail.com and I'll send you a better video of the leaf process that's more slowed down to hopefully help out. I'm currently working on getting a better leaf tutorial uploaded.
Quick question. When counting up the leaf to attach the chains, does the ch1 from securing the beginning of the last leaf count as a chain, or no? I hope that makes sense. I'm a beginner.
It makes sense. 💜 Start in the second ch from the hook after the ch 1, turn and you shouldn’t have any remaining stitches after doing your 12 sc back up the stem when you start the other side of your leaf. Hope that helps.
I completely understand. You can go up a couple hook sizes with this pattern. If that doesn't work you can go up to 18 and then just add 3 more leaves with the sc, hdc, dc, hdc sequencing you see best to fit the Monstera esthetic/leaf so it's a better sizing option for your coasters. Thank you for stopping by. Sorry for the delay. Been a crazy couple of days.

I don't know where I'm messing up, on the leaf at the end of the first side I have 2 stitches instead of 1 before the turn

@@LindseysWhimsyCrochet no worries! I figured it out and the leaf is looking absolutely stunning thank you so much for the pattern!!🩵
Is there any way to make both sides identical instead of opposite side “inside out” ?

Hi there, to make it bigger should be like multiples of 6? I find12 for a coaster kind of small...thanks!
